Why did God make lifeless planets?

According to me, nothing is lifeless in this whole universe. The only difference is.. some creatures are 99% conscious about their life and some creatures are just 1% conscious about their life. Different creatures have different conscious levels from 99% -to- 1%

I agree. Everything moves and interacts.

Yes, it interacts too.

I would say this is the most fundamental aspect altogether...the ability to interact. Everything interacts in some way. Some things interact in more complex ways than others. Those things which interact in the most complex ways we call life.

What is their purpose? This question does not apply to theists who believe in naturalistic creation, and needless to say atheists.

Unrelated: I just saw this smiley on the side and I just so happened to be listening to a Disturbed song (Haunted) and I really love this smiley :shout

Hi,
As God made humans to live on the planet earth, humans may think that the only purpose of the planets are for some human-like creatures to live on them.

So First the planets may have many other purposes..
We humans are limited in our abilities..
We can't understand the purposes of all God actions..
Hence, for this point we generally say that there may be other purposes of the planets.. They Show the power of God and they added beauty to the creation and they may have purposes that we can't realize..

Then, not all the creatures of God we can see and recognize..
There may be unseen creatures such- as the angels -occupying these planets..
