Why didn't Kamala Harris want to debate Donald Trump?

The POTUS 2024 debate was supposed to take place yesterday & from what I understand, it didn't take place because it seems like Kamala Harris doesn't want to debate Donald Trump.

I wonder why Kamala Harris wouldn't want to debate Donald Trump for POTUS 2024? Was she afraid to debate him, or is there some other reason?

Ok, well I was hearing September 4th several days ago; was it postponed, for some reason?

From NBC on August 30:

Harris and Trump are currently scheduled to debate on Sept. 10 in an event hosted by ABC News, though Trump previously suggested he may back out of the debate, citing a personal feud with the network.
The planned debate comes nearly three weeks after the conclusion of the 2024 Democratic National Convention, in which Harris formally accepted the party's nomination after a turbulent month kickstarted by Biden's withdrawal.
Though the September debate is currently the only debate currently planned between Harris and Trump, Harris' campaign said that a potential October debate was contingent on Trump attending the Sept. 10 debate.

From PBS on August 8:

PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — ABC says both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris have agreed to a Sept. 10 presidential debate, setting up a face-off between the Republican and Democratic nominees.
The announcement Thursday came shortly after Trump told a news conference that he had proposed three presidential debates with three television networks, saying he agreed on certain dates in September.
Trump is rejoining the ABC debate days after posting on his social media network that he would not appear on the network, citing a lawsuit he has filed. His decision sets up a highly anticipated moment in an election where the first debate led to a massive change in the race — with Democratic President Joe Biden ending his reelection bid and endorsing Harris.

Now, back to your bias-laden "Why didn't Kamala Harris want to debate Donald Trump." It took just a couple of minutes to Google "Trump Harris debate state." Why did you fail to do so?

To be fair, Trump proposed several other dates but the new Google can't even find them. I think one of them might have been Sept. 4, maybe on Fox with a studio audience? Needless to say they were non-starters for the Trump fans to say Harris was dodging. :)

That was one of the 4 debates Trump proposed in his press conference, but without making arrangements and getting confirmations. He did make it sound as though arrangements had been made, but they had not.

He wanted one each with FOX, ABC, NBC, & CBS -- with audiences and open mics.

What he got was the Sept.10th previously scheduled debate with no audience and closed mics as was prearranged while Biden still led the ticket.

Anybody have a link to the Sept. 4 debate so we can discuss it?
Should be interesting if Kamala didn't show up.

Actually I do like the idea of no audience and closed microphones either that or have Judge Judy moderate.

If Donald Trump agreed to debate with Fox News, then Donald Trump can go ahead and debate with Fox News.

First I heard of a debate.

She's busy with a job and ramping up a campaign, unlike the criminal candidate whose only schedule items are golf and court hearings for his crimes.

And last night was the NFL season opener, which is a huge conflict.

Edit: OK, Sept 4. And most of the sources that reference the Sept 4 debate are right wing, so no wonder the properly informed didn't hear about it.
