I don't think that's assimiliation it's integration. Majority of the Muslims in the west speak the language, treat people equally,respect the law and other people.
America doesn't have an assimilationist culture, anyway. It's too diverse for that.

I'm almost certain it would have. But trying to say that "the West" owns everything good that in fact occurred in a globalized and heavily interconnected world... then insisting that it must be "protected" from the "East" to preserve advancements and wealth that were, in fact, mutually produced through their interaction... is blinkeringly ignorant. Where exactly do you think any advancements of math, science, wealth, and technology come from? The West also "conquered a large part of the world", indeed a portion of the world so much larger than that of the Islamic world as to dwarf it geographically and economically. As a result, we all produced together the world you now see, with many influences Eastern and Western and everything between and outside those spheres. The specific players could have changed without changing the game, that it is true. It does not make it any less silly to try and attributes all good things to some of those players and all the bad things to other players. We created this geopolitical system, the good and the bad, together over time.

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" No reasonable person would interpret this to mean a spiritual struggle.
Quran (9:14) - "Fight against them so that Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and heal the breasts of a believing people." Humiliating and hurting non-believers not only has the blessing of Allah, but it is ordered as a means of carrying out his punishment and even "healing" the hearts of Muslims.
There are so many of them, its best if you go and search for yourself, also read the
Hadith and Sira.

How many Christians today practices their backward bible verses ?, the problem with many Muslims they do still believe all that evil crap, its part of their culture, they are far behind the eight-ball, and this is what is coming into our countries, they all want the world to be Muslim, if you can't see that then you must be blind, I am sorry, but that is the way it is if you like it or not.
