Why Do We Die

Draka

Wonder Woman
Biologically, our bodies cease to function. For whatever reason that may be...it holds true for all.

Spiritually, we don't.

I realize this is in the Christianity forum, so what is your real point or question here?

I would have thought that was pretty simple. Evolution relies on which genotype predominates in the breeding pool, and has greatest success in survival and therefore offspring.

If the old dudes remained it would dilute the "better" offspring competing with them. So one part of the process of evolution is death, to cull the previous inferior generation and replace it with a new arrangement of genotypes.

The quicker the culling the quicker a trait becomes dominant. Conversely long life (many breeding cycles or many offspring) leads to slow change, stability period where a species may last virtually unchanged for millenia. Afterall isnt that exactly what we see with humans?

Cheers

Quran & Sunnah
Because this life is not meant to be eternal for us. We are just passengers and mere guests in this life which seperates us from the eternal life where there is no death.

Yes, Why Do We Die?

Don't think we die. We are developing fetus's. When the fetus stop to be a fetus and become a baby, it is not a death but a passing to the next stage of development. Our bodies is just an afterbirth!
Of no use.

Yes, Why Do We Die?

Because as we age it takes longer for our cells to renue themselves.. so eventually we wear out!
In the future WHEN we can speed up the cell renewel process, we wont age! maybe! just a thought anyways lol

Hmmm, I recon if we do live on after our body dies, it is what gets passed on to future generations through DNA. So in the future we could be born and remember these pastlives. We dont just inherit eye, hair, skin colour and goofy teeth and a lisp through d.n.a but also Knowledge! just in this old daftys opinion lol

Sir, to you.
Yes, Why Do We Die?

Cells eventually lose the ability to copy themselves efficiently, leading to weaker and weaker immune systems and organs, leading to disease or organ failure and ultimately, oxygen starvation.

It's the penalty for sin as a result of the fall of man. God's grace, even in light of this plight, provides everlasting life (although we die a physical death) through Christ Jesus.
