Why do you believe in God?

I've been lurking in this thread, but I feel the need to chime in.


Dude.

You and I both read "why do you believe in God?" in the title of this thread and thought "I don't believe in God." The difference between us:

• I said to myself "okay - this thread isn't directed at me or my way of thinking. I'll move on or read the replies quietly."
• Apparently, you said to yourself "this thread isn't directed at me or my way of thinking... so I'll threadjack it to make it about me and my way of thinking."

It was pretty rude.

I find it sad that an attempt at clarification is being seen as rude.

Why do you believe in God?

A combination of personal experience and the concept of God makes sense.

Why do you believe in G-d?
G-d has always existed, so why not believe in Him, right, please?

I've witnessed God(s)'s influence over people and their actions.

I rejected Christianity long ago. The virgin birth, son of God, dying for our sins and the resurrection are all nonsense to me.
