Isaiah 44:6-8 ( Jesus in the OT )
“This is what the Lord says—
Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty:
I am the first and I am the last;
apart from me there is no God.
7 Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it.
Let him declare and lay out before me
what has happened since I established my ancient people,
and what is yet to come—
yes, let them foretell what will come.
8 Do not tremble, do not be afraid.
Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago?
You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me?
No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.” Is this a lie?

John 14:6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. So is this a lie?
Why would you even ask?
The OP question is Why do YOU follow YOUR religion?

"Creating (or linking to) content intended to convert/recruit others to your religion, spirituality, sect/denomination, or lack thereof is not permitted. Similarly, attempting to convert others away from their religion, spiritual convictions, or sect/denomination will also be considered a form of preaching. Stating opinions as a definitive matter of fact (i.e., without "I believe/feel/think" language, and/or without references) may be moderated as preaching." ~ RF Rule 8

Love speaks the truth. Love does not decieve or lie. Jesus is God and he died on the cross for our sins, was buried and rose from the dead three days later. This is the only atonement for sin. Everything else is deception from satan. No sin will enter into God's kingdom. Think, if you reject the 1 atonement, your sin remains and no sin will enter into God's kingdom. Satan is the father of lies and false religions. There is one truth Jesus is God and he loves you he paid our sin debt on the cross. We are all sinners save by Grace. I pray this helps all who are seeking the TRUTH.

I have a real love for people and want them to know the truth Mr. monitor.
If you truly loved them, you would make the effort to know them better.

I'm sorry to hear that you think your truth is everyone else's truth.

Mr. Monitor I know that people will make their own choice. I will love them anyway, but as a friend to mankind i will speak the truth.

One last comment Mr. Monitor. The question was why do i follow my religion? It's simple; I had a personal visitation from God's spirit. It is the truth. Have a great day Mr. monitor.

It's a belief. It's not something you know. It's something you hold as true because of faith.

You didn't answer the question. The question is WHY do you believe this?

It's called a metaphor. He is placing himself (his words and deeds) before us as a representation of the ideological pathway to our salvation. To ask if a metaphor is a lie is to ask an incoherent question. Is "King Lear" a lie? It's a nonsensical question.

I have accepted my philosophy of religion because it makes the most sense to me in a world of multiple sets of beliefs (religions, philosophies, ideologies, politics, scientific theories, fantasies, and pretensions), some well argued, some not; and explains why there seems to be no Divine Intervention to ensure "justice", prevent "suffering", and ensure that everyone "knows what the true religion is". As far as inspiration and guidance go, I take an eclectic approach, which I suppose is similar to if not exactly the same as "omnism".

" most sense to me in a world of multiple sets of beliefs "

What Methodology did one adopt to know as to which world-view is the most correct one, please, right?
Was it the Scientific Method or the Religious Method, please, right?

You presume. There are a number of scientific methods. There also seem to be a number of religious methods. There are probably other methodologies as well, which may or may not be as effective as either or both sets of those two.
I don't think it is important to know which world-view is "the most correct one". If it isn't perfect, then it can only contribute to, not conclusively establish, an accurate world-view.
My method? I suppose "I have accepted my philosophy of religion because", as I said, "it makes the most sense to me." The Sensibility Method.

I was hoping that somebody would point this out.

The use of the definite article “the” assumes that one has already proved (or is assuming) not only existence, but also uniqueness.

Rather , isn't it an admission that one's methodology is of isolation, right, please?
