Why do you want to destroy spiritual and religious practice?

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
Remember this is in the Q&A section, so no attack or debate with the OP starter or others who chooses to take part in this Q&A. only answers the question to why.

Why do you want to destroy a practice you do not believe in, or have no true practice from your self?

How can you know the practice is so bad when billions of human beings practice religion or Cultivation practice?

Those who misrepresent religions are those who claim to be a part of the religion, but who do not practicing it them self, or has no good knowledge about the teaching, it is not the true practitioners of a religion who do the wrongdoing.

So why damage something that can save people?
Why damage the life of true practitioners?
Why make people hate each others, because you misunderstand the true nature of religion and Cultivation paths?

I would never "want to destroy" a practice that does not hurt others in any way.

How can you know the practice is so bad when billions of human beings practice religion or Cultivation practice?
If a practice hurts "non-practitioners" (others) in any way (physical, verbal, mental, emotional) then I know it is bad ... even if billions practice it

If a practice does not hurt "non-practitioners" (others) in any way (physical, verbal, mental, emotional) then I know it is good

Your answer is good @stvdv. But what many seems to not understand is that those who want to hurt others or harm people who do not believe like they do, often is the people who only claim to be practitioners of a religion or spiritual practice. They have very little understanding of the true practice. And this leads to the misunderstanding we see that people think they understand what true practice is.

And they harm others because they think that is correct practice. When we know it is not right to harm others :)

I seek to destroy those that cause harm to others. I may no longer practice, but it did great damage to me, it continues to harm others, and it must be stopped.
May i ask what you practiced? And may it be that those you practiced with did not know or understood the truth of that teaching?

Remember my answers here is not to attack you or others for what you stand for today, my goal with this OP is to understand why people hate true religion or spiritual practice.
Fake practice and practitioners who harm you. That i understand why people dislike.

my goal with this OP is to understand why people hate true religion or spiritual practice.
I think people do not hate "true religion" or "true spiritual practice"

But "is there any true religion"? Religion is big, so always some whose practice create problems. I think people react to "untrue religion"
Spiritual practice, when kept in your house, I think nobody will hate this (as nobody knows)

Fake practice and practitioners who harm you. That i understand why people dislike.
The problem of "hate" only starts when practitioners start to exhibit their practices in a way that hurt the feelings of others.

I was a Southern Baptist. They knew their teachings and knew their stuff.

It has caused so many more problems that it's worth. And it's not necessarily harmless. People relying on folk remedies and forgoing real medical treatment is a problem. Inserting superstitions over science is a problem. It may not seem like it, but people get sick, they die, they aren't prepared for the world as adults. Instead of improving the lives of others here, while they are alive, they forgo this life because to them it doesn't really matter and what is important is a life that has no promise or assurance to come after death.
It's one more needless division among humans.

That does no good to denounce those you see as ill-practicing their faith is "fake practitioners." They can just as easily dismiss you for having an equally false faith because your beliefs are not congruent with theirs. They are practitioners of their religion, they are real practitioners, it is an insult to those abused to say their abusers weren't really their abusers. The Bible does say to kill homosexuals, that their blood is on their hands. Thus Christians who believe homosexuality is sinful and an abomination before their lord, they are the ones holding to what their religion does actually say. The others are acting on the love that Jesus taught, but they have forgotten homosexuality is still considered an abomination to their god.

I will let Christian people answer for what they understand of the bible, but in those religions or spiritual teaching where homoxeuality is a sin or wrong it is clearly answered to why. And if people do not like those answers they are free to leave that teaching alone.

But as får as i know, bible do not say it is a sin to be homosexual, only the cat is a sin. But as i Said i leave it to the Christian to answer this.

Why do you want to destroy a practice you do not believe in, or have no true practice from your self?
Because they're ethically primitive, violent, and often attack me.

Not all of them, but lots. Those are the ones I have a problem with. Otherwise, I don't care what anybody believes about any unevidenced subject.

What makes my answer any less credible?

People like me are brought up into it. Leaving it isn't as much of an option like it is for adults.
And leaving it does not prevent that group from demanding their religious dogma be made into law.

I don't play that game. If you are homosexual, the Bible says your love, your attractions are an abomination. And don't forget, Jesus said to have lust in the heart is to commit adultery. That basically does mean that being homosexual is condemned by the Bible.

Do you really believe that those who do terror is true practitioners? I know they are not, they do evil and will be punished because of their action, words and thoughts.

When it comes to homosexuality I think most Christians see it as a sin for themselves but don't judge anybody who is or look down on them. As far as killing Homosexuals goes I think that was in the Old Testament. I'm not really sure if that was the old testament. Yeah I think it's time to start taking medicine instead of old folklore remedies. I do agree with that. Also I think healthy people with good attitudes don't forgo this Life. Also I think a person that has a healthy attitude doesn't insert superstition over science but sees them as two different things

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
It's not destroying a religion so much as it is destroying the rampid stupidity, lack of basic knowledge, and the ignorance that is so prevalent in a number of religions.

I Said a Christian person will know the answer to the biblical text better then me, so i let them speak for how they understand the bible.

The part about lust is not just about homoxeuality, that count for any lust toward sexual action, for those who want wisdom have to let go of the attachments to lust.

The thing is they believe they are doing what they do for their religion. It is not your prerogative to decide who is and who is not religious.
