Why does change exist ?

Why do you think anything changes ? Me personally I have no idea which is why I want some others input. at times It would be better if certain things didn't change. Because most change is things becoming weathered over time which isn't good.

I thought this thread was going to be about money. I was all ready to say it's the only form of money that has any actual value. Bills are just notes that are representative of precious metals...of change, if you will...sort of like an IOU, and aside from the paper they're printed on, have no actual value.

But I won't say that.

As I see it, change exists as a result of time, space, and causation.

Change, it has been argued, is the only thing that exists. Or at least, change is the one consistent quality of the floating world which we inhabit. Absolutely nothing in nature is in stasis, it is all in flux. There is no fixed point, either hypothetical or material, from which to view the restless activity unfolding within and without us.

That's not true there are some things that remain unchanged or undergo very little change over long periods of time.

Because the universe is not at energy equilibrium. Some systems have more energy than others and so there is a driving force to equalise, which causes change. Another way to say this is that entropy has not reached a maximum.

Change is the application of chance. It is inevitable.
At the most fundamental Quantum level chance plays a pivotal role. The position of every single quantum particle is unpredictable and appears to be in multiple places at once. This in some way affects every level above.

Consider the evolution of things. Whether life, environment or even religions: over time all change. The truth stands firm, learning how that works, is key to remove the suffering of change.

Sure it is, change is a constant, Watching and learning over the time is the experience.

Are you experienced! (sorry, I couldn't help myself with that)

But that still doesn't show that evolution is true. Wait, wrong thread.
Change is what evolution is driven by. Change in environment, change by combining genes, change over time.

If everything stayed the same, all life would be stagnant; never changing. Even in the story of genesis, Adam, then a change...

Gen 3:22 And Jehovah God saith, `Lo, the man was as one of Us, as to the knowledge of good and evil; and now, lest he send forth his hand, and have taken also of the tree of life, and eaten, and lived to the age,' --

an evolution from instinctive life to conscious and capable.

Our growing awareness of the natural laws governing the evolution of the universe, conclusively proves that there can be no guiding spirit, no universal mind nor creative intelligence, and certainly no God behind our seemingly miraculous existence. Apparently.

Now that science has shown us what we can achieve, we have no need of God, or religion. Or poetry, or art, or wonder at the mysteries of existence - for soon, of course, there will be no mysteries, and man in his hubris will occupy the throne from which he has ejected God.

"And the abyss shouts from her depth laid bare,
Heaven, hast thou secrets? Man unveils me, I have none"

- Percy Shelley, Prometheus Unbound

If nothing could change then nothing could happen and if nothing happened in the universe then the universe would be as good as nothingness

If you want existence then you need change

If reality is matter in motion then having matter without motion would be something short of reality

That's what I think anyway
