Why does God not talk to us?

The gods communicate with me constantly in various ways. The god of the Bible doesn't, but I wouldn't expect it to since that god isn't part of my religion.

People complain, “Why are there no radio stations?” You have to turn on the radio, folks! You’re not going to magically pick them out of thin air.

Then people complain, “I’ve got the radio on, why can’t I hear WKRP?” You have to desire to hear non-fictitious stations.

Same with God. You won’t turn on your spiritual radio and really listen, or else you’re waiting to hear from some fairy-tale god instead of Reality.

There's no radio. But that doesnt stop people from turning invisable knobs. Whatever works?:p

Why does God act as if he is non existent?
How can God possibly get through all the babbling self talk!!!!! Talk talk talk to the point talk is God reinforced by writing.... Really? It's like trying to see the stars in time Square at noon by reading all the signage!!! Stupid and menTal all at the same time. God told me as I walked out in the forest no sound!!! Whispers. It's all in the landscape some artists get this.

The LORD said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by.” Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.
12 After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

God spoke to Elijah in a still small voice. You should expect God to speak to you in the same way.

How do you know that those gods aren't demons pretending to be gods?

I don't ask the question. Such questions originate from theological teachings that are absent in my religious tradition. Teachings like "there is only one true god, and all other 'gods' are false gods or demons," or even the belief that demons are a thing in the first place. The question also carries the assumption that gods are necessarily nice and good. They are not. Things I might label a "demon" because they are adversarial are still gods. Many of the gods operate against human interests, or my interests more specifically.

How are you so certain? Seriously just being curious.

I'm not. It's just how I roll. I trust myself to make my own judgements in a way that works well within my life. I don't need someone else to make that call for me. I'm well-adjusted like that.

Pardon, I don't mean to imply that those who hold to some external authority are poorly adjusted. But there does seem to be this assumption in the prevailing religions of my culture that people can't be responsible for their own religious experiences... that they can't trust their own judgement and have to defer to a priest or sacred text. That's not what Paganisms are about. It's been remarked by many that contemporary Paganism is a religious movement where everyone is their own priest or priestess. That comes with no small amount of personal responsibility, and it doesn't work for everyone. It works very well for me. I was terrible at listening to what my Sunday school teachers told me as a kid. :D
