Why Does The West Hate Putin?

The Emperor of Mankind

Currently the galaxy's spookiest paraplegic
Putin wants Russia to be what America is now: belligerent, projecting power, destabilising or supporting foreign governments as it suits his nation, controlling more & more natural resources through direct territorial gains or through strategic placements of friendly governments.

The difference is he's willing to repress whole sections of his own population as well as the media in order to achieve his power.

Why America don't want Russia becomes like that ?

The West hates Putin? I don't understand. How does a non-person hate or feel emotions? If you mean to speak of people who happen to live in nations called "the western world," there are lots of us there. We do not all think the same. I do not hate Putin. I feel nothing about the person one way or another; I do not know them.

I don't hate him. I do think he holds too much power and seems to be able to disappear anyone who gives him trouble. That means that Russia doesn't necessarily have a representative government. Anyway their media is far more bizarre than the West's, and at least in the West you don't need government permission to print. Just look at Pravda: http://www.pravdareport.com/ Here's a piece where they suggest the USA wants to invade: http://www.pravdareport.com/society/stories/24-10-2016/135968-boring_life-0/ and this stuff is state-controlled. The news people have to keep the government happy if they want to keep their jobs. The media can't publish just any news there.

Because Putin is actually more oligarchic, corrupt, warmongering, and self aggrandizing than the US leadership.
At least that's what USA media say.
I've never been to Russia, mostly I am going by what President Ronald Reagan said about Russian government. Maybe he was fooled by the liberal media.

I don't hate Putin but I do wonder why Moscow hates the servers at my work. I'm not even in government or doing anything worth Moscow's or anyones attention.

You have an amazing propensity to knowingly and intentionally misunderstand someone.

Why Does The West Hate Putin?

I see him as an old school politician who may be better than the old Soviet Union politicians but nowhere near the standards of western politicians.

The anti-American crowd will always defend the other side with a knee-jerk. People will even spill less hate on ISIS than George W. Bush for crying out load.

Putting subverts democracy in other nations, invades other nations, murders his political opponents, shuts down media when they disagree with him, attacks minorities just like the Czars did, is a socialist running inefficient state industries, probably commits war crimes in Aleppo, is trying to subvert America by waging cyber war against us and is basically an aggressive disagreeable evil little prick.

In other words, the same stuff America does?

Ah yes, why would the world hate anyone like Putin. All he's done is anschluss...I mean, annex Austria...I'm sorry, the Crimea, and attempt to seize the Sudetenlan....I mean the Donbass!
Most of my first years in the military were spent on shooting at targets, images of the faceless Ivan, learning his weapons, being familiarized with their vehicles, weapons, and tactics, then I worked at Mcdonalds! hahaha clown fate.

Vlad was not short for Vladimir. Also, the "Count Dracula" is more Bram Stoker than historical fact, as his name was Dracul, dragon or devil, with the -a suffix added making it "son of the dragon."
And, Vlad Dracul III was essentially a latter Crusader. His reputation at home is that of a godly man who punished evil and fought for his people's freedom and brought with him peace and prosperity, and is not viewed as bad like he is in other places.
