Why don’t you believe in God?

God was bored and created the Devil and asked the Devil for something fun to do.
The Devil answer that since you are the source of everythng and have no limit, you could cteate a universe that you haven't created because you are not limited by logic. In this universe are a lot of beings believe in you, but the universe is natural and without Heaven and Hell, so all just die.
And God did so.

So I picked a God. What is next?
I guess you’re good to go.

Science IMO, doesn't provide evidence. At least not directly. Your life experience is what provides you evidence. From which you develop theories of how your reality works. Science only really provides a way to test those theories.

So a lack of evidence which comes from my life experience which can be shown to be reliable consistently.
Ok

Change it to....
"....inability to believe in anything that can’t be detected by science?"
Then yes.
Explanations aren't necessary, eg, I can't explain
the origin of gravity, but I can detect it. So I believe
that gravity exists....complicated though it is.
The detection is your explanation. It’s semantics

Is it because of your inability to believe in anything that can’t be explained by science?

Nope, science works with the natural, it does not get the involved in the supernatural
it's plenty of reasons, here are some. Lack of evidence, futility of prayer, childhood leukemia, unnecessary suffering, the mosquito, the marmot etc.
I once made a list, long time lost but i remember there were close to 50 good reasons why o don't believe in gods

I explained that they're not the same, & even gave you an example.
Are you here to bicker, or to discuss & understand the views of others?
I ask because your OP seemed rather contentious, but I gave the benefit of doubt.
I understand that you think detection and explanation are two separate things. Like I said, you can change the word to detection if it suits you.

Nope? Sounds like a yes to me.

Do you acknowledge that convincing evidence is currently lacking, and that no rational mind can conclude a God exists?
There’s no evidence however, many rational minds know God exists imo.

No, because science cannot explain a lot of natural phenomena, yet I still trust the methodology it uses to explain what it does explain. I don't believe in God for the same reason that you don't believe in other mythological beings such as leprechauns. You don't believe in leprechauns do you? If not, why not? What would convince you of their existence?

Replace the word explain with detect like @Revoltingest did if that’ll help ya.
I’m just a simpleton who uses simple language.
