You'd think they would. Airplanes are a very common way to travel nowadays, and out of all airplanes to ever take flight there never been ONE report of an airplane burning up or crashing into the sun

One word will demolish your argument:Phht...airplanes. You're all being taken in. There is no such thing.
When you board a 'flying machine' you are gently put to sleep by gas delivered through the overhead air vents. Apart from spreading germs from first class back to the plebs, this is their only purpose.
You are then loaded onto trucks and driven to your destination, before being loaded onto another 'flying machine' kitted out the same as the original.
If you carefully check your environment before being sent to sleep, and then re-check on 'arrival', you will see how carefully the two have been matched!
This dovetails with the time-zone conspiracy. I suspect all this baloney about 'time-zones' is a way to make us all complicit in winding our watches forward and back, hiding the extra time it takes to truck us around the country.
I mean to say, given that measuring time is a human construct, it's pretty obvious that we could all just run off a single, global standard, if it was in the corporation's best interests to do so.
OK, that was more like one & a half words.
So it is one & a half times as effective!
It would be foolish to fly near the Sun at nite....unless there's a full moon.
Likely happens to Chinese & Russian commercial airliners,I'm sure the airlines have some sort of policies about this kind of stuff. Probably why we never hear about planes crashing into the sun.
