Why I Hate, Hate, Hate Religion!

If you read Mein Kampt you'd realize the absurdity of your hideous notions of atheistic ideology, whatever that is. He idolizes the Christian Social Party while denouncing atheistic Jewish parties. Get a grip.
Unlike you, I read German, so yes I have read it. And no he doesn't "idolize" the Christian socialist party for their christianity.

Again, you have failed to explain why the Nazi party oppressed the clergy, oppressed the church, replaced any religious expression with political atheistic ideology, and why the top members of the Nazi party were atheists. Get a grip.

"Hideous notions of atheistic ideology, whatever that is"!!?? What is wrong with you?

Even forgetting the Nazis for a moment, to suggest that Mao or Stalin, whose regimes and political ideologies were radically atheistic and anti-religious were not "atheistic" shows a foolishness it would be hard to imagine coming from anybody other than you.

And the fact that the Nazis, by your own sources (wikipedia) replaced the religious church with political "godless" (atheistic) one with Hitler at its head seems to fit very well into the description "atheistic ideology".

This is baseless, pathetic, and a plainly stupid remark. It just goes to show what length people will lie to cover for Hitler's Christianity. There may very well have been some vocal atheists in Hitler's Nazi Party but the suggestion of this crap is nothing but a blathering on about revisionist history in one's own mind. It's really sickening to read poster's distortions of the very websites they site in order to further their own twisted logic and prejudices towards non believers. I was warned of the nonsense on these forums, I can see why.

I only cite websites because you do. My real citations come from scholarships, not wikipedia. The above blather is simply indicative of your inability to deal with the evidence, which plainly shows the following:

1. The Nazis oppressed the clergy
2. The persecuted the churches
3. They replaced all religious churches with political ones (replacing Christ with Hitler, the bible with Mein Kamp, religious iconography with political iconography
4. The top leadership positions of the Nazi party were all atheists
5. Mao and Stalin, whose massacres and atrocities exceeded even those commited by the Nazis, were even more expressly atheistic and anti-religious, not even engaging in the pro-christian propaganda of hitler
6. You base all of you information on whatever websites you find (i.e. wikipedia), and they don't even agree with your views.

The Nazi ideology was clearly not christian, their policies and actions were clearly anti-christian, and none of your evidence has shown anything to the contrary (in fact, wikipedea, your primary source for seemingly all your information on any given topic contradicts your view).

You simply don't know what you are talking about.

dogsgod the same **** can be said for your ignorance and hated for Christianity that you have showed since you've been here. And guess what you'll find that and this site too toward Theist. So just shut up and stop blaming Theist for all the crap in the world.

I agree with you. This shows that its not only religious thought the produces this type of crime against humanity. Atheism is also capable of hate crimes.
When I study Christian thought I look at the Quakers and the early christians that have something to teach me. That's real Christianity.

When I judge Atheists I do not read Mao or Pol Pot. I read Bertrand Russell he has much to say.

The impression that am getting of this topic is that this is an attempt to justify hatred by historical hatred.
So the mostly Catholic population of Germany in Hitler’s times listened and agreed with the views of the Nazis and they paid a great prize for this evil that included persecutions, to dogsgod I like to ask: Do you know that this hate in you has grave consequences? What would you like to see happening to Christian of this generation and why? Are you campaigning to covert all Christian to Atheism through historical rhetoric? By now I am sure that you know that isn’t going to cut it. This is also supported by the dark history of communism and it official religion Atheism, hate is a human flaw and as I said earlier there is no shortage of charismatic leader willing and ready to use it for their advantage so beware, the reason that opted for Atheism got nothing to do with history but with the fact that you have a great capacity for hate and a lack of the ability to forgive and it will destroy you as it did them. I thought that the purpose of looking back into history was to learn and avoid the mistake of the past. What was their mistake? I say that it was uncontrollable hatred. What have you learn?

Greetings!

You clearly confuse human perversion of religion with religions themselves as originally revealed, before they've been corrupted.

Nor do all religions have the sorts of disgraceful track records you mention, please note!

Peace,

Bruce
