Why I like Jay!

I have had some time to think lately about all the posts and threads I have made, read, or otherwise participated in.

While at times I am simply amazed at the level of perspective many offer on this forum, I am always amazed with Jay.

Jay has single handily caused me to become a better person, student, and listener.

This is someone I would love to study under or with, because no matter what, he seems to have a penetrating and undeniably convincing perspective.

I can not be sure, but I suspect there are years of discipline and dedication behind him, and I hope some of that rubs off on me, as I know it has already, but I hope to learn more.

Just wanted to share that with everyone!

(agenda free thread Jay, aren't you proud of me!!!)

Do you really think he's going to let this statement slide?
probably not, but I can tell you, that his persistent and relentless posts telling me that I am doing such, really gave me reason to pause, and question if this was the case.

I have to admit, that most of the time it was unintentional, and others it was intentional. for the most part I re-read my older posts and threads, and found agenda dripping in the writing. What I have come to learn, is the true benefit of this forum is to just present information without emotion or agenda as best as we can, and things go a lot smoother.

for example instead of saying "I believe", which I think no one really cares to much about, it comes across much better to say "according to this or that, I have read this or that" leaving the opportunity to discuss topics instead of feelings and personal assessments.

I know what you mean, Itwillend. With Jay watching, you actually have to look stuff up before you post. What a pain.

Something else I love about Jay, is he has made me go to the dictionary almost every time he corrects, insults, or otherwise does what Jay does.
Man those words!!!

It's been no secret that I adore Jay now and always have. I've met the man and his wife for dinner, too, and he's an extraordinary gentleman. His wife is, quite simply, a beautiful and classy lady.

Love you and miss you bunches, Jay. :hugehug:

Thanks, sweetheart. I'll tell her you said so. She'll be pleased.

I love and miss you as well!

Let's try to find time to have dinner again.
