HUH? This makes less than zero sense.
It does....It does?
Here's why... Because Joe Biden is only a 'potential' nominee, and therefore is not an active political rival.

Joe biden is currently unemployed, and is not a democratic nominee for the presidency.
He should have no special protections.

Then why would we pursue any sort of accusations or criminal charges against anyone? Here's why... Because Joe Biden is only a 'potential' nominee, and therefore is not an active political rival.
Since you apparently missed it, it wasn't' "merely wanting...investigated." Trump is being accused of withholding aid to Ukraine unless they complied.Save for partisan politics, we should not purse criminal charges against our P.O.T.U.S. for merely wanting Joe Biden's son who was paid millions of dollars by the guy who allegedly embezzled millions of dollars from Ukraine, which received millions upon millions of dollars in U.S. foreign aid to be investigated by U.S. as well as by Ukrainian authorities..

Impeachment isn't a criminal charge, however. Merely an accusation. And according to Lindsey Graham you don't have to actually break the law to be impeached.Honestly, nobody can pursue charges unless a crime was committed. And it's taking months to decide on whether a crime actually even occurred in the first place.
It does.

Nixon wasn't impeached. He resigned because it's very likely he would have been impeached and removed from office. However, no president who has been impeached (there's been two of them) have been removed from office. That's a separate vote that the Senate holds. So, if Trump is impeached, much like Bill he probably won't be leaving office. Will he have to step down as president if he's impeached like Nixon?
