Why is Jesus so famous? (Challenge to atheists)

Paul is the only one who claims to be an eyewitness to a risen Jesus and that was only a vision of him.
If you claim the biblical Paul as a real person, you also have to accept Jesus as real.
Both are based on next to nothing.
It's all made up, fiction.
Until we find external sources from the time they are supposed to have lived.

I think that there was most likely a Jewish apocalyptic rabbi called Jesus(or the translation there of) who lived in the 1st century CE he was probably crucified, after that we know nothing

Then the question become:

Why did islam and baha'i pick up the story of Jesus?

It is because prophet Muhammad and Baha'u'llah liked Jesus. They liked his story, his character, his kindness. They believed Jesus is a holy soul from God

Why? The story was doing well under Christianity so why not plagiarise it.

Have you ever asked yourself, why Is Jesus so famous?

He was just a random carpenter in some distant town in the middle of palestine, he was not wealthy, he had no political power, he didn’t make any contributions to science or art, he didn’t travel much, etc.

So why is Jesus so famous? How did a random carpenter/ (or fisherman) became the most important and influential person in the whole world.

For Christians that question is very easy to answer, “He resurrected” (+some other miracles) if a random guy from Palestine resurrects tomorrow he would become famous.

But from the point of view of an unbeliever, (someone who rejects the claim that Jesus resurrected) what alternative explanation do you offer? How could someone like Jesus become so famous and influential?

I agree that a poor peasant in a corner of a huge empire rising to be so influential is something to seriously consider. But I have a few questions.

1. How do you know he is a carpenter. The Bible doesn't say he was a carpenter. It says tektwn. It means like a man who does labour with his hands.

2. On what study do you base your statement "became the most important and influential person in the whole world"? Was just an arbitrary statement based on faith?

3. What evidence do you have to show he resurrected?

How is Greek or Roman or any other mythology evidence that Jesus resurrected?

It is not evidence, because there is no evidence for the 'Resurrection' of anyone. I am referring to the cultural setting of the Middle East at the time making likely that someone would make the claim.

Most atheists could care less and wait for a serious factual argument for God.

Why are Jesus, Krishna, Buddha, Moses, Mohammod, Buddha, and other messianic figures so popular?

Human nature.

Logical answer: because many people like the history of Jesus. They like his kindness, wisdom. They like the history of a God who love the whole world

Well I'm no atheist, but you have defined an unbeliever here as someone who rejects the resurrection.

My response would be because of the strings attached charity/proselytism of Christians.

The other religion Islam which adopted such a policy seems to have spread just as well.

Organized religion also serves the priestly class. It's a pretty good gig if the alternatives are daily hard labor or outdoor work.
Oh, the priestly class does love their collection plate (and all of its variants). Once passed around, you can leave it overnight and God will take what he needs -- and leave you the rest! A real deal!

Yeah, Islam has just had 6 1/2 centuries less time to do it in. They're catching up, though!

I don't think he would have survived without the church and political issues. Not even the Jews wanted to have anything to do with him during his life time.

I would say other people made jesus popular. Assuming if we met him in person, we'd probably think a bit differently than what we imagine him to be whether as a believer or not.

Because he was the only man to ever die, in full view of everyone and then return from the dead ..
