Why Jews did not accept Jesus (pbuh)!

I can always support my statements with Scriptures, Tumah. And I accept both the Hebrew/Aramaic Scriptures and the Greek Scriptures, and see their harmony. But with this subject, I'd mostly have to use the Greek Scriptures, which I know you don't accept.

So we are at an impasse, already.

I could try to use the "OT", as it's called. I don't like calling it the Old Testament. (The reason is, it makes it sound like it's out of date (calling it Old), and nothing could be further from the truth!) But I will, for expediency's sake.

I can use the OT, but maybe not completely: I may have to refer to the NT.
So what exactly is our disagreement? Let's not argue, though. We can simply discuss the issues.
I was referring to your statement about Jews having converted to Christianity.

And ever since then we had more sin and more death.

Cool stuff.

Yes, I guess you don't recall, or either haven't read, about the illustrations stating Jesus would be gone for a long time,
and then return? (Matthew 25:19)

Drop your sarcasm....it's not wanted here!

Are you expecting me to care about Christian scripture?

You already rely on the whole return theology which is completely ridiculous for a Jew.

I'm sorry, I should've read your affiliation -- I was thinking you were an atheist. My apologies.

Since you are religious....how do you understand the import of Genesis 18:18? Or when Isaiah 11:9 will be fulfilled?

Take care. Again, I'm sorry.

Import? No clue what that word is supposed to mean in this instance.

Let me guess, you think its all about Christianity right? And why? Because Christians claim that they belong to the line of Abraham. But then again everyone can claim so. After a few hundred years no one cares anymore and you got a new neat Religion.

Or when Isaiah 11:9 will be fulfilled?

The world does not know the God. When will it? How should I know that?

And again you think its about Christianity, good for you.

Love everyone, meditate often
But actualy Jesus (pbuh) never claim that he is a God
No, he claimed to be the God through his followers. If the Christian Scriptures were inspired by the Holy Spirit (God) and what they wrote says that Jesus was God... then you guessed it- he's God!

If I may enter your DIR thread, of course the Jews never excepted Jesus as their messiah, Jesus was a man made savior, with the whole idea stolen from the so called old testament, I believe the early Christians didn't like the Jews, for they blamed them for crucifying him, which is totally ridiculous. So they stole from the Jews scriptures and manipulated just about everything, and hence we have what we have today, all ignorantly believed to be their own words from their own god. Thank you.

Are you deflecting? Please don't. I just asked your opinion on those Scriptures, which are part of the Jewish TaNaKh, right? What do you think they mean? And how will they be fulfilled? What is your opinion on Isaiah 2:2-4?

Are you open for discussion?

The Dead Sea Scrolls would tend to discredit this idea, that Scriptures were altered.

And, if I may add, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses I consider myself Christian -- Jesus is my Savior -- but I worship the God of the Jews, Yahweh. So did Jesus!

Deflecting? To me it looks like she is saying you that you are taking verses with clear meanings, and reinterpreting them to be about Jesus without any basis.

So you are lead to believe, but I cannot agree with you, and because this is a DIR, I wont be arguing with you here.

So, let's discuss how you both understand these Scriptures. I mean no disrespect; I never once said to her, that I was applying them to Jesus. The Jewish God is my God -- as I've stated many times on this forum.

Peace, Tumah! -- Numbers 6:24-26

Come on, that's a joke. You're a Christian, of course you apply the Messianic verses to Jesus. You don't need to spell that out for us. And of course you know, as Flankel implied, that since these verses haven't come to fruition, the messiah has yet to come. And by extension, any claim to messiahship is baseless.

No, the Scriptures don't, and Jesus never did. He always directed attention to his Father, his God. --John 20:17; John 4:23-24.

The Apostles and other disciples said that Jesus was God's "Servant."

Yes, you're right, I do. But right now, I was interested in how you view these Scriptures, or how you think they will be fulfilled when your Messiah comes; and far be it from me to denigrate your understanding! I just want to better grasp your understanding, that is all.

You know, I believe all of us are cousins, descended from Noah....we are all extended family. I have no desire to belittle anyone! Unless they're like Hitler!

EDIT: Well, it's real late where I'm at. Good night, for now.

If that's the case, then just read it. What it says it was it means.
