So I am all about having a clean and tidy room and organized house. I sometimes fail to have such, but I'm all about having such.

However, every time you make a bed, you mess it up again later in the day (unless you're on certain drugs where you don't sleep or have really bad insomnia.)

For something that you're going to mess up again every single day, I fail to see what the benefits are of a making a
bed daily.

A clean and organized house is good, because then you can find things better and it causes less stress. Maybe a bed that's made causes less stress? I don't know! Not so with me! I really don't care!

I understand, making a bed to please somebody else, but if somebody else is not involved in the inspection or something, what's the point?

(This is definitely one of those Shakespearean questions, very deep, something mankind has been pondering forever! :p )

My regime requires it. Can't see the point myself.

Making one's bed in a morning actually has good psychological effects. It leads one to do other such good things,

"Wait a minute," you might be asking, "How is making the bed going to increase my productivity?" A fair question, and you’ll find the answer in the book, “The Power of Habit,” by Charles Duhigg. According to the author, daily bed-making becomes a keystone habit, something that kickstarts a chain of other good decisions throughout the day, and gives you a sense of taking charge. Duhigg claims that these keystone habits cumulatively lead to "a greater sense of well-being and stronger skills at sticking with a budget." Pretty impressive results, simply for taking a minute or two to pull up the sheets and comforter."

I understand bathing daily (although Doctors say daily bathing is bad for you) and good hygiene, to avoid smelling bad.

It is a courtesy to those around you.

Maybe making your bed is a courtesy if you're having company who's going to be in your room. I can understand that much

Does anyone jump on their bed!? :p

Yes!!! I still jump on my bed. I jump on the kids' beds, too(except Yudhi's because its a toddler bed). They all think I'm nuts(I might be).

I don't make the bed. It will just get messed up again if I jump on it.

I wouldn't make it anyways. I used to, back when there was one kid, who went to public school, and I had enough free time. Now, I have too much more important stuff to do, and limited energy.

No, I don't make my bed. I did when I was a kid and my parents made me, but to this day I still don't understand the point.

Making my bed has never made me more disciplined or productive. It just seems to waste my time.
