I can understand the concept of faith, and how it helps people, but the kind of faith that Christianity (at least, the Christianity I know) requires can lead to intellectual dishonesty.
This one book is right, and everything else that disagrees is not only wrong, but a manipulation from Satan to trick one into seperating themselves from god. This belief, from what I've seen, can lead to Xenophobic attitudes towards anyone who isn't Christian, or even someone who is from a different denomination.
It seems like the more someone distances themselves from the bible (such as someone who views the bible as god inspired, rather than as the infallible word of god), the more reasonable and open minded they become.
The happiest I've been in life is now, and all the years I've lived since leaving the Christian faith.
