why reject christianity

why many people reject christianity?
Because the religion in how it is practiced by so many is deeply out of touch with love, and its cornerstone appears to be more about hypocrisy than truth?

is there a problem with the teachings and messages?
Yes. They aren't practiced.

the crucifixion of christ means nothing to them?
Apparently it means little to these Christians themselves, praising God in one voice while maligning those who aren't part of their religious club.

don't they like a religion based on love?
You think that is why it's rejected?

many people want proof. but, if there was proof, ''believing'' would be an one-way street and faith would be pointless.
Proof of love is great. "Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds".

if there was undeniable proof, how would we choose christ as our saviour?
How would you prove love? What would lead you to choose love? People like Pat Robertson?

God made all human souls the same way and they got the same information just adjusted to time and place. Problem is that we lost the 'technology' of processing that information...
And according to you this technology is?

isn't the crucifixion a way to take all our pain, so that he can cure our pain? i hope it makes sense :-\
As an example of the shameful way we humans treat innocent humans, perhaps, and to bring that evil tendancy within ourselves into consciousness so we can actively work to change.

I reject blood sacrifice.

That, I would think, is a later and separate question: what should we expect from a God that does not want to be perceived by many or most people?

I would wonder why such a god would author a text that endlessly brags about his might and deeds in the world (with the intent of leaving little or no evidence of those deeds) and endlessly heaps praises upon himself.

And according to you this technology is?
e.g. God created us with organs of perception, e.g. pineal gland,
"The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor, And the oracle of the man whose eye is opened;" Num 24:3
submerging in materialism, mutations because of number of environmental pollutions, outright assaults like fluoride ...

He probably would not.

I dont see how this relates to my comment and questions.
it mean you do not know what really "faith" is.
"Pistis" in Greek means God's connection, persuasion that give person very little doubt that God is real - it is just the first initial step that too often do not give detailed information and person needs to mature in knowledge.

it has no meaning - my experience- because atheism is spiritually crippled and knows not what it defines...

Your opinion is noted and rejected, when you can prove the spiritual then try attain,

It knows exactly what it defines, no god.

Still scratching my head to the connection. Can you explain how god is common sense and can be known by all without religious rescources and personal beliefs to rely on?

Because there is absolutely ZERO reliable evidence that Christianity is any more valid a religion than any of the other 1000's of religions that human beings have made up over the centuries. And why would you want to believe ANYTHING without evidence? Faith is NOT a reliable path to truth. People can have 'faith' in absolutely any ridiculous claim.

I'm qualified to make logical deductions and that's what you read. It's a brief reasoned argument. If you find a flaw, point it out.
False claim of authority is a fallacy. Logical deduction is only logical if it is stated what the assumptions are and that there is reasoning going on. For example "I deduce from the present state of Christianity that the founder's intent must have been X" so that people who are interested in really finding out their intent are not mislead. If it is a guess or deduction then make it clear, please.

most forms of christianity promote idolatry and not enlightenment.

i think that if there was a character named jesus, he was promoting enlightenment.

unfortunately not everyone is about sharing knowledge and power with everyone else because you can't profit from what you can't control.

You will have to speak for yourself there, I cannot
choose to believe. I do or dont, but it is not a choice.

Baha'u'llah has given thoughts on this matter;

'O SON OF BEING! Love Me, that I may love thee. If thou lovest Me not, My love can in no wise reach thee. Know this, O servant."

Baha'u'llah also gives us a thought when he wrote to the Christian Monks, that it is our choice, but if we do not take up the choice, God is Patience and will keep offering;

O CONCOURSE of monks! If ye choose to follow Me, I will make you heirs of My Kingdom; and if ye transgress against Me, I will, in My long-suffering, endure it patiently, and I, verily, am the Ever-Forgiving, the All-Merciful… Bethlehem is astir with the Breeze of God. We hear her voice saying: ‘O most generous Lord! Where is Thy great glory established? The sweet savours of Thy presence have quickened me, after I had melted in my separation from Thee. Praised be Thou in that Thou hast raised the veils, and come with power in evident glory.’ We called unto her from behind the Tabernacle of Majesty and Grandeur: ‘O Bethlehem! This Light hath risen in the orient, and travelled towards the occident, until it reached thee in the evening of its life. Tell Me then: Do the sons recognize the Father, and acknowledge Him, or do they deny Him, even as the people aforetime denied Him (Jesus)?’ Whereupon she cried out saying: ‘Thou art, in truth, the All-Knowing, the Best-Informed.’"

It is your heart that will find God as what we can know of God is Attributes and if our heart longs for attributes, we will find God within us.

Regards Tony

I rejected Christianity because it stopped making sense to me. There are too many gaps, contradictions, confusion, and inconsistencies to make me think there was anything to it anymore.

It's sort of like a cloud 9 romance, it's all dreamy at first but then reality sets in over the course of time and the house of cards just falls apart and the rose colored glasses come off.

It means no belief in gods: no hindu, no christian, no muslim, no pagan no gods at all

Christianity is not special. Atheism isnt crippled anymore than saying you "dislike" vanilla as opposed to someone who "likes" that flavor.

For athiesm to be crippled, theism needs to be crippled as well.

A-thiesm is just opposite of theism, nothing more.
