Why Religion?

Isn't it essentially other people telling you how you should have a relationship with god?

"I" don't have need of the religion per say for that reason.

But a lot of folks do like fellowship. Fellowship being worshipping in the company of other like minded individuals. Not my cup of tea but some prefer it.

I don't believe in God but I like the poetry and the symbolism behind the concept. The only relationship I have with God is a relationship with an internalize concept that is pertinent to me. It is an aesthetic that I have adopted.

Well religion could be looked at as following the teachings of more advanced souls that came before.

Perhaps in very modern times with the advance of education and worldly exposure more people are thinking for themselves and not following the traditional religions. But they are typically influenced by spiritual thinkers that came before and not totally inventing the wheel.

To me church services are informative and fun and help me develop my faith and personal relationship with God
