Why would a British man want to assassinate Donald Trump?

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Democrat foriegn hit man for hire?

Brits hate Trump's hair so much he had to be taken out or something?

Chapman's protege?

Wanted a take down by American police just to see how it compares to British police?

American prison food so much tastier?

Attempted suicide by American cop?

Thinks Trump will start the fourth Reich?

Why would a British man be so involved in American politics so as to carry out a feeble attempt to kill a high profile political figure not of his own nationality?

This Yank is confused.

A guess? Mental problem. Why would a Serb execute a Croatian?

Mr Trump doesn't receive very good press here in Britain. That being said, my understanding is this fellow came to this idea after living in America for some time, so I don't think you can really put a British angle on this. (Other than the fellow holding a British passport of course.)
There seems to be a lot of hate flying around. Hate from the Trump camp and hate going the other way in objection to his policies and what he stands for.
The trouble is when people start pumping out a hate message, inevitably that will light a fuse. And some sick-minded individuals will manifest that hate message through physical violence. Look at Orlando, the murder of Jo Cox here in England, anti-Semitic attacks and other race hate attacks etc. etc.
Hate begets hate. And hate, sooner or later, culminates in violence.

I am not aware of the event you are talking about, but there seem to be reasons aplenty.

For one, the hope of keeping political power out of dangerous, demagogical nationalists for little while more.

He has been promising something very much along those lines, hasn't he?

He's probably mentally disturbed and prone to this behavior. If there were no Trump, he would find another thing or person to hate and to kill.

Sure... but likewise, one can ask how exceptional Trump is in other senses as well.

Were there no Trump, perhaps someone with similarly worrisome credentials would have risen in his place. It is not like there were no precursors.

Could he have been a time traveler? Is it possible that he traveled back in time in an attempt to avoid some global disaster? Just a theory.

Were that the truth (shades of certain works of fiction), I would bet that he would be disappointed to learn how little importance Trump himself has in the making of that disaster.

After all, there are delegates and voters lending him an importance that he never earned.

It's basically just a bit of banter.

Why hasn't he earned it?
I can certainly see good reasons not to vote for him, but he's earned his shot as much as has Hillary or Bernie.

Appears to be the most likely case so far. His visa however, according to the article, was expired, making him illegaly in the U.S.

The guy is an unrepenting demagogue who is not even trying to look competent.

I'm currently no fan of Hillary, but she is certainly better than that.

You equate people who have been serving their nation for decades with a real-estate tycoon?
I don't equate them except that they all meet the minimum constitutional requirements to become prez.
On top of that, they each bring some relevant experience, either public or private sector.
Ideally, a candidate would have both....but we take what we can get in these hard times.
The only fully qualified candidate would be Gary Johnson, but he has as good a chance
of winning a presidential election as I do winning your hand in marriage.

Me too. Makes no sense. Apparently this guy was a few cards short of a full deck.

Respectfully. I think the fourth Reich thing is a bit of a stretch.
