Wa'asalaam Alaikum I am a former Muslim who is thinking o going back in, but before I decide on reverting I wan't to ask why You prefer Islam over all other religions or why it stands out over all other religions.

I stay in this religion because i strongly believe in God, and as muslims believe in the prophets in the 2 previous revealed religions and in Muhammad (saw) i don't see any interest to change to an other one.

I believe in Islam because it's teachings are of a universal religion which has no boundaries on race or creed whatsoever. It also is the only religion in the world which makes it incumbent upon a follower to accept ALL Prophets of God. It teaches that Messengers were sent to all nations and today their followers range from Jews, Hindus, Zoroastrians, and Buddhists. Due to this teaching Islam is the only Religion that enforces Muslims to live in peace with other Religions although other Religions enforce the rejection and disrespect towards Prophets whom they consider false (Jews reject Jesus (as), Christians reject Muhammad (saw), etc).

Islam is the only Religion that not only gives Shariah (Law) but also explains the Philosophy behind its teachings. The Holy Quran is a scripture that contains the teaching and the wisdom behind it. It gives equality to the poor, teaches how to raise a family on high morals, how to safeguard the weak, and offers the Holy Quran as an undisputed and excellent personal coach for every human being.

I became Muslim morre than 40 years ago.
My experience in those years is that Islam does what it says on the bottle.
It CAN give you peace, both internally(mentally and spiritually)
and socially, with family and neighbours IF you follow it's Quranic instructions and practice what it preaches.

And this process happened by a series of studies.

I read books about Islam and my view about Islam got more positive as I studied Islam.

And now I find Islam the best way of living as far as I know.

So I'm a Muslim cause it's the best life guide as far as I know.

Plus, the some versus in the Al-Quran is proven by science.

very good question, and i hope that you will decide choosing Islam again and wish you don't leave it again, Islam is the only religion that answered my questions in a logically and simply way that doesn't need too much justifications if i misunderstand a certain text.
one of the most questions that took lots of time is if Muslims are the true believer why they are in such situations, in the tail of nations? but Alhamdulilah i found the answer which was for me an evidence that islam http://www.religiousforums.com/forum/islam-dir/147459-islam-weirdreligion.html

All religions are the same. They all had one original message... There is only ONE Creator, God. The only difference is that all other scriptures are either man made or corrupted/altered by dirty human hands. The only scripture that remains intact, unchanged is Quran. The best way to really know God is through his words, Quran. Don't even consider it a religion. Just read the book that God authored. Organized religion has little to do with God. Organized religion is just a private club with members and rules. If you follow the rules, you belong. If you question or break the rules, you will get your membership revoked. Are you seeking God or a membership to a group so that you can have a sense of belonging?

I'm a Muslim because when I was a confused Christian, I prayed to God asking Him to show me the Truth and alhamdulillah He showed me Islam.
And I have had no doubt since.
