Given that man has been around for at least 2-3 million years, and homo-sapien himself for around 200,000 years, then ALL current major religions are extremely new. Given that, do you think there will be any more emerging?

we will all be taught by Jehovah.
"They will all be taught by Jehovah."JOHN 6;45
(Isaiah 54:13) And all your sons will be persons taught by Jehovah, and the peace of your sons will be abundant.
(Jeremiah 31:34) "And they will no more teach each one his companion and each one his brother, saying, KNOW Jehovah! for they will all of them know me, from the least one of them even to the greatest one of them," is the utterance of Jehovah. "For I shall forgive their error, and their sin I shall remember no more."
(Micah 4:2) And many nations will certainly go and say: "Come, YOU people, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will instruct us about his ways, and we will walk in his paths." For out of Zion law will go forth, and the word of Jehovah out of Jerusalem......................... this gathering of people being taught by Jehovah, is happening right now.
After these things I saw, and, look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: "Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb." revelation 7;9-10 these are the ones that will get through the GREAT TRIBULATION and then only those taught by Jehovah will remain . and the gathering goes on . and they are from ALL NATIONS. NICE

well the bible says that false religion will come to its end, because God will put it into the hearts of certain ones to destroy false religion .That's what your religion says. All religions say something different and there is no assurance that any are right. The question here is if it is possible that since your religion, as well as a few others, are in the grand scheme of things, new upstart religions, that they could be replaced by other religions that become as large if not larger than the existing major religions. Considering that the major religions in existence today are all rather new in the world, then it is reasonable to assume that eventually some new religion might eventually make it into the major religion slot left by Christianity or Islam.
Greetings Calif_Musk. Just wanted to refer you and readers to an older similar thread, Could A New Major Religion Arise Today? by Sunstone: http://www.religiousforums.com/foru...477-could-new-major-religion-arise-today.htmlGiven that man has been around for at least 2-3 million years, and homo-sapien himself for around 200,000 years, then ALL current major religions are extremely new. I think the next great "religion" will be atheism.
Seeing how they've never stopped emerging, I don't see any reason for the trend not to continue.Given that man has been around for at least 2-3 million years, and homo-sapien himself for around 200,000 years, then ALL current major religions are extremely new. And I heard another voice out of heaven say: "Get out of her, my people, if YOU do not want to share with her in her sins, and if YOU do not want to receive part of her plagues. For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind. revelation 18;4
John gives us a picture of it with these words: "And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. For God put it into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out their one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished."Rev. 17:16, 17. this harlot spoken of in the book of revelation is the worldwide empire of false religion. and the book of revelation is full of symbolisim .

In the 20th Century, we saw religions like Scientology and Falun Gong emerge. In the century before that, Baha'i, the Mormons and likely many others. I'm not sure what the next one will be, but I'm sure there will be one.
Adherents.com gives the most recent statistic for worldwide Scientology membership at 50,000. It's not the largest religion out there and certainly not my cup of tea, but I don't think it's anything to sneeze at... and despite the press they get, they still do manage to attract new members. And it does make the list of 20 largest religions in the United States.I said MAJOR religions. I think Scientology has been ridiculed and discredited enough to avoid it gaining THAT status...unless the Xenu/souls/volcano stuff catches on with the teenagers!
MAJOR would be christianity, moslem, Sikh, Hindu, buddhism(maybe)
