Will Atheism Ever Be The Dominant Religion?

Atheists certainly have emotions and value them. But they don't use emotions to determine the *truth* of something. They may use emotions to determine what course of action to take, or what art to create, or what music to listen to. But truth is a different type of thing and is not determined by emotions.

That is your theory that emotions alone are determining religious belief, certainly not my perspective.

Never even heard that idea in an actual argument.

atheists will place themselves in the position of god, they will think they know everything because of science, the human race will deteriorate.

No, I predict a declining role for both atheism and traditional religions. I see increasing growth of beliefs that are now considered eastern and New Age. I have seen this trend in just my lifetime.

Remember when Sulu flipped out? They didn't hold it against him. The planetary variability is something that constantly affects how one acts, the crew were trained to act according to alien situations, not merely earthian perspective.

Reeeep! Reep! Waa, waa, Reep!
I am fairly sure that the only reason Kirk joined Starfleet was to seek out new beautiful alien women and boldly go where no man has gone before.

I don't think that atheism can accurately be described as a "religion" according to any of the definitions of the term. But, that being said, I think that atheism (which includes modern agnosticism) will continue to grow.

re·li·gion
rəˈlijən/
noun
  1. the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods.
    • a particular system of faith and worship.
    • a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance.

No because Religion is really for our emotional side. Atheism is really about valuing logic over emotion. Love, Hate, Sadness, happiness are strong feelings that will always overcome logic.

At best people will realize the need for both and not try and Back up beliefs with logic or ignore emotions because they aren't logical.
If an emotion isn't logical, isn't it best to try to shake it or ignore it? I, for example, suffer from clinical depression. Many times I feel so terrible that I can't get myself out of bed, dreading to do anything but sleep. But, it is always best for me to ignore that emotion (sadness, emptiness, etc.) and get moving. For, once I get moving and doing my thing, the bad emotion/feelings tend to dissipate.

I've seen this as well. Slowly more and more people are starting to understand what sages have been saying as recorded in the Bible and the works of Kabir:

Luke 17:21
Neither shall they say, See here! or, see there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Kabir:
I laugh
when I hear that the fish in the water is thirsty.
Man wanders about without purpose
to Mathura or Kashi
Without the knowledge of the inner spirit,
Like a deer that runs listlessly from forest to forest
In search of the musk which lies within its own navel
All men of the three worlds,
even sanyasis, munis and yogis
Are infatuated by desire and a slave to the mind
Just as a large bee is infatuated
by the buds of a lotus in the water,
The immanent and unmanifested 'Hans' is in my heart,
Which is worshipped by
Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva and 88,000 munis.
God is within
but people think that he is somewhere outside.
O! Irony of ironies!

Of course not. Atheism is not a religion, nor much of an element for building a religion around.

Whether atheist (or compatible) doctrines will ever reach such a situation is an entirely different matter, of course. I would say that such a situation is all but certain to happen eventually.

Personally I think the invention of writing killed religion. It is just taking a few thousand years to die.
