It seems that the call for Biden to step down is continuing to grow among the Democrats.

Of course all of the is strictly my opinion.
There is no growing groundswell among democrats calling for Biden to step aside. You are listening to the republican echo chamber where they believe it they repeat a lie enough times everyone will believe it. But the only people that ever believe it are the people that want it to be true. And there are very few democrats that would want it to be true. Even if they don't like Biden, they are not willing to risk changing candidates at this point.

So basically you're just blowing smoke up your own butt, as they say.

However if they pick a different candidate this would not set well with voters due to the image of the Democrats being anti-democracy going against the 2020 vote of the country.
There is nothing anti democratic about running a non-incumbent.

They had a working relationship.

Not really. Can you show us if Hunter worked for Joe as an adult or vice versa? If not, then all you're doing is blowing smoke-- "guilty by association". So, please provide the evidence or I have to conclude you are being dishonest on this.

How about the fact that Trump's sister, whom he says he's closer to than anyone else, referred to him as being entirely self-centered and dishonest said in a conversation that Trump's niece recorded? And his niece agreed with her, btw.

Not really.
There have been several whistleblowers who have come forward with information related to Hunter Biden and the term “Big Guy”. Here are a few notable examples:

  • Tony Bobulinski: A former business partner of Hunter Biden, Bobulinski was questioned by the FBI about an email that discussed how to cut Joe Biden in on a multi-million-dollar deal with a communist party-connected Chinese billionaire.
  • Gary Shapley: An IRS agent who worked on the Hunter Biden probe, Shapley took notes during a meeting with FBI and IRS officials that appear to bolster his prior claims that the U.S. Attorney handling the case felt politically hamstrung.
  • Rob Walker: An IRS whistleblower, Walker claims that Joe Biden is the “Big Guy” and that the Justice Department obstructed investigators in Delaware who wanted to look into the “Big Guy”.
  • James Gilliar: A former business partner of Hunter Biden, Gilliar referred to Joe Biden as “the Big Guy” in a panicked message the same day The Post broke news of Hunter’s infamous laptop.
These whistleblowers have come forward with information that suggests Joe Biden may have been involved in Hunter Biden’s influence-peddling schemes and foreign business dealings.

How is that clear?
Conservatives have been saying it for a long time now. There is something wrong with Biden. We saw it in the debate and in the appearances after the debate. We saw it before the debate, he cannot think for himself on the fly, his motor ability is impaired, more importantly his cognitive skills have declined. Even many dems want him to step down. Do you really think he is running things?

Yes.

He makes mistakes and is clearly suffering from old age and decline, but, as you said, this has been for a while. The country has been run well so far. He has a strong administration and actually does seem to listen to them and take the job seriously. He, with his administration, seems to be running things fine.

That's not to say that I agree with everything he does or don't wish for a younger, more progressive candidate, but comparatively, Biden seems to be doing fine for a President.

You missed the point entirely.
Your point was trying to justify racism and claim people trust those who look like themselves during times of stress. There's many reasons that isn't true for many, many people. It's those such as ethnocentrists and racists who will flock to others over something so superficial and meangingless as skin color.

In times of social stress, people tend to only trust those who look like they do or share their values. It's a form of tribalism.
This is true. But it's often a very misplaced response. Especially when the people being labeled as "other", and feared, are suffering from the very same stresses that we are. Logic would dictate that we react just the opposite, and seek to join forces with them against the real source of the stress. Not waste time and energy struggling against each other.

Logic is dominant when there is time to evaluate an effective strategy. In times of stress this often isn't the case.
