Will people remember everything in the afterlife?

We people still know what others have done? Their faults and good acts?

Or will everyone be in the equivilent of their own private space?

I believe we will remember what we did in this life. I also believe that we will remember our life before we were born. I have a close friend who had an experience where she died and then was brought back to life. She was only four years old at the time, but from what she has told me she was able to remember what was going on in her life.

I read an interesting book about near death experiences once and it talked about people continuing to have addictions to things (like cigarettes) after death. I found this interesting, even though I am not sure I believe it. From this, it seems that our spirits will continue to have the memory that our bodies had.

I believe we will not only remember our most recent life, but all of our past lives. Couldn't learn from them if we forgot them.

I don't believe we will have a self. But God will remember.

As far as lazarus and the richman, the bible tells us that the richman remembered that he had brothers, so going from that story I would say yes we do remember things..

I agree - I think we will need to remember, that we may see and understand the wrongs (and rights) we did in life.:)

I believe we will...it seems to me that memory is so intertwined with self awareness that if the individual ego is to exist after death, our memories would have to be at least reasonably intact. (Of course, perhaps if we merge into the Worldsoul or something like that, then memory would be irrelevant.)

But it could be a "swiss cheese" type memory, like in dreams. Sometimes in dreams I can't remember my age, what year it is, and sometimes have perfectly clear memories of things that never happend to me (at least in this life).

Peace

So do you believe we will cease to exist or what, Terry? I'm not following you.

I sure hope so. I'd hate to think I wouldn't remember my friends and family who mean so much to me now. And I hope I will remember the other people who have touched my life, you know, the people I can't recall at this moment.:D

Might be tough to qualify. How does one become aware of something they forgot? One can be aware of what they remember but not what they forgot.
