Today, for the first time since Holi 2020, I will be going back to my temple. :)

Why the need for luck?

We're taking all three kids.

Any of you familiar with my ramblings on the children should understand...

So if I wish this thing called "luck" for you, that will make your kids well-behaved?

If that's how it works, I wish I had asked for this blessing for the last 36 years.

Anyway, I hope you have a great time!

Best of luck. I take it that they were inspired by stories of Krishna's mischievous and playful youthful pranks but without his divine wisdom ;)

Well snap.

After doing some intensely lackadaisical research on luck, I found that there are different varieties.

There is:
  • Good luck
  • Bad luck
  • Dumb luck
  • "O' the Irish" luck
What kind were you wanting us to wish you again?

Dumb. Its the most suitable here...

But good is acceptable as well.

Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated at midnight. At least with my nightowl kids, this won't be considered a late night thing!

Well...

We got there a bit late, and for the first time ever in our temple's history, it appeared they actually started on time. The 7 year old had a fit, the 15 year old was surely, and the toddler was... well, a toddler. But I was happy we went; I really missed my temple. It was nice to be there again, and to be a part of Krishna Janmashtami. :)
