Women's clothing and men gawking

A psychological study I read about maybe two decades ago, had it that a woman dressed in somewhat "revealing clothes" is more sexually arousing that a woman who is completely naked.

It seems that "hide & seek" works best.

Interesting. I suppose what men consider sexy in women's dress might also be a matter of taste to some extent. I know that some women 'dress sexy' in ways that turn me off, while I have friends who find the women dressed quite sexy. Conversely, what I find to be a sexy outfit just doesn't at all work for those men.

There are plenty of women who gawk at men too (not at me I hasten to add)- as long as it stays at gawking, and the person being gawked is not offended it is ok

As i stated above, gawking is usually offensive, from embarrassment to threatening. Much more civilized to give glances than a fixed stare

We shouldn't do it for the reasons you stated and more - however, what exactly is it that creates the 'allure' or 'attraction?' It's not actually the person you find attractive, it has more to do with the chemistry in one's brain, surely. That it was tells you that someone is attractive in the first place. So can the attracted person be totally blamed, as he/she is at the mercy of these chemical processes ?

Granted, but my gawking comes from some deep seated, atavistic trigger, whereas (IMHO) women openly gawking is a phenomena phenomenon of our progressive society. Not that this is a bad thing, but there are many times I have felt naked and used just walking down the street.
For those of us who are pretty, tis something we must endure.
Pray that the masses will someday be as woke as are we.

What? Me worry?
I don't think it's asking too much of the vast majority of men not to stare or gawk at women, even when they dress sexy. Sure, some men are emotionally immature or undisciplined and apparently cannot help themselves. But I think in most instances when a man stares or gawks at a woman it's because he's trying to dominate her, humiliate her, or was just raised without manners -- not because he's emotionally weak or undisciplined.

Hahaha....oh, wait...you're serious...

Viewed? Yes. Stared and gawked at sexually? No.

Nope...it's a mechanism in our genes that keeps us interested in procreating. When you think about sex without stimulation then I think you'll find mostly that it's awkward, unnatural, and time better spent fixing the tractor.

That's obviously the case. Most people benefit from some decoration, to enhance - or disguise - selectively what nature provides.

For a real treat, try chasing your significant other around the house with one of you wearing only a pair of bib overalls.

Back in the day, I once tried cooking supper wearing only my butcher's apron, but the enterprise got derailed by my girlfriend.

Exactly. And when we look at nude statues of women during the ancient Greek and Roman Empire areas, they liked there women more of what we would likely call being on the "plump" side today in western society.

I think most men prefer thicker or curvy women, judging by the cultural praise of big butts and Kim Kardashian's fame. Those women in Greek statues were really just average weight.
