These practices are great and I only started learning this year. Physically, mentally and emotionally I am better because of these practices.Nice analogy (no water, dry, constipation)
You have some great practices
Eager to progress is a good thing. I always start with the basics. When mastered, all else is so much lighter. Also worked with math basics
Thank you for sharing
Wow, practicing 3 martial arts
I came not further than watching
I did try, but my lifelong headache
didn't agree with martial arts
Yeah I do 3 martial arts because the same Sifu teaches them. I have never been athletic, never thought I would ever be athletic, and basically had to start from -100 physical fitness. But I have always loved martial arts and needed to do some activity to help with my blood pressure and stress levels. And these activities fit me perfectly and turned out to be way more important in my life than mere exercises. What opened my eyes to the spiritual aspect was when the our Grand Master Lee Kam Wing passed away and my Sifu had a make shift shrine to him and we had to honor him, our sifu and ourselves with scented candles. It was another catalyst to my spiritual growth.
I was, and still am, so arrogant that I want to progress rather than master basics. Mastering the basics is the balanced way.
Sorry to hear about your lifelong headache interfering with the pursuit of martial arts. Which ones did you try out?
