Would you stay on RF if religion wasn't discussed here?

I'm not asking as a staffer. I'm just curious. I've noticed, for example, that there are members here who hardly - if ever - drop by the religious threads, and prefer the other sections of the site. If the religious forums of Religious Forums were removed, would you stay? The question is directed at everyone.

No.

No idea really. But I have noticed that the tone of discourse in both religious debates and religious discussions, has a tendency to turn toxic, while the arguments quickly become circuitous. So I can see why some individuals end up avoiding them altogether. Which does beg the question, ‘Why stay?’ Or perhaps more positively, ‘What else does the forum have to offer?’

I'm probably one of the ones you are talking about, i spend perhaps 20 to 30% of my time here on religious forums, those that interest me and that i can contribute to.

So yes, stay, but spend a little more time doing domestic stuff

I don't know. I might would stay considering that I have contributed across the forums and could still do so without the religious side. I'd probably post less meaning hardly at all, seeing I barely post now. :p

In principle yes, but it has to be borne in mind that religion is probably the glue that attracts and binds people to this community. Without that, I suspect the site would evaporate as there would not be a common draw to it. For instance, I belong to several science forums, but most are dead or dying from lack of interest. The community here is far more diverse and vibrant. One has to ask why.

Depends if the topics are interesting enough. It really dosent matter to me if it's religious or not.

I don't think you could stop people from debating religion by removing the forums.

Sure. I don't get into discussions about religion much anyways
