For the men, what car do you have? rwd, fwd or 4wd? Have you ever reached the topspeed and what was it? What is the record of your speedingtickets? Soundsystem?

For the ladies, what color is the car? Is it small enough for easy parking? Got any nice accesoires like flowers or so? Did your first accident change your drivingstyle?

In general, what makes you drive different? How would you rate yourself as driver?
What would annoy other drivers about your drivingstyle?

I drive a civic because of fuel economy. Being a guy, I'd prefer to have a man's vehicle, like pickup or something, but I feel bad enough driving at all (for environmental concerns) so the least I can do is try to keep it as efficient as I can afford. I hope I'll be able to go to a hybrid, but that will take a couple of years. On the positive side, civics have been incredibly reliable for me.

2006 (but it was bought in 2007) Silver Dodge Magnum. I wanted a Chrysler 300C but the dealers wouldn’t play ball. The Dodge Magnum is the same ride and it has the extra space to haul bigger loads.
Bouncingball writes: rwd, fwd or 4wd?
RWD, I should have bought the 4WD.
Bouncingball writes: Have you ever reached the topspeed and what was it?
Topspeed is 160. Highest I have gone was 106.
Bouncingball writes: What is the record of your speedingtickets?
Cops don’t really pull me over. I travel the New York State Thruway a lot to get to work and do about 80mph. State police usually pace my car but once they see the SIGNAL 7 license plate they realize that I’m the guy from the tollbooth.
Bouncingball writes: Soundsystem?
Boston Stereo/DVD/ AM-FM/Cassette/ 6-CD and 6-speakers system (standard factory issue). I was probably fortunate enough to buy in the last year that they offered cassette players. The problem with this system is that it doesn’t play CD-Rs with stickers. Got a few stuck and had to replace the radio. DVD player is in the back and works great. On long trips, mrscardero drives (like a maniac) and I hook the PS2 or Gamecube and rock and roll in the back seat for hours.
Bouncingball writes: In general, what makes you drive different?
The highway, I OWN THE HIGHWAYS!! I do not drive past the speed limit in towns, too many deer, I could always use the breaking time.
Bouncingball writes: How would you rate yourself as driver?
Not too responsibly lately but I have been reminding myself to be more mindful.
Bouncingball writes: What would annoy other drivers about your drivingstyle?
A lot of the slower drivers may feel like they are in my way.

My very first though, My personal record is only 170, way more than your topspeed

But then, ofcourse, miles per hour...Km per hour.. and suddenly our personal record was the same :D
And your topspeed is way more than mine
But then I own a Volkswagen Vento and it's topspeed equals my own record :areyoucra

What would annoy other drivers about your drivingstyle?
I prefer acceleration over topspeed. So when a light tends to go green, I push..
And when I am first in line, people might think I am the speeding kind of person.

For the ladies, what color is the car? Is it small enough for easy parking? Got any nice accesoires like flowers or so? Did your first accident change your drivingstyle?
I'll be fair here..
My car is metallic darkblue. It's not that small, but not that large either. I do not like accesoires in a car, my car isn't that much personalised and it will remain that way.
My first accident did actually change my drivingstyle. It has taught me a lot about the difference in a wet and dry road..

At home I got a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge. It is bright red and came with way more sound system than I will ever use.

I also have a 1996 Honda Accord station wagon. Poke fun if you want, but I live an hour from town and it has so much room for filling up with stuff on shopping day.

At work I drive a 2007 Kenworth T2000 and I pull a 53 foot reefer trailer behind that. It grosses out at 80,000 pounds or 40 tons. It is very roomy inside and gets 7 miles per gallon on a really good day.

Taken 2003 when it was new. Now it has over 130,000 miles (210,000 km).

FWD, V6, factory stereo. I haven't driven this terribly fast - no speeding tickets ever, but I'm not a slow driver either.

Update: Sold it.

This isn't mine but same year, model, and color. I'm kinda a wuss when it comes to reaching speeds that, if caught, would be considered wreckless driving. I've only pushed it to 100 MPH and that was enough for me. I always seem to be running late to work so I can probably be a bit too aggressive when I'm driving. I don't do anything extrememly stupid but I imagine I tailgate for a bit when somebody is in the left lane going 10 MPH under the speed limit. I like the car but it absolutely sucks in the snow. Probably wasn't the best choice for Wisconsin winters so I will be looking into a small pick up truck as my next vehicle once this one reaches the junk yard.

I drive a Honda Civic because it's the cheapest car you can own taking into account price, resale value, gas, maintenance, and repair. I drive a car primarily for commuting, so it's simply a tool I need to own to maintain employment. It was an easy choice, as buying a Civic was simply the smartest decision.

I'll ignore the rather sexist men/ladies comments and answer all the questions... ;)

I rock my minivan. I've got a '97 Dodge Caravan, FWD. I've never tried to find the top speed in this one, but in my foolish youth I got a similar one* up to 180 km/h and it was still accelerating... but then I realized how fast I was going and decided I should slow down.

I've never had a single speeding ticket. I attribute this to the fact I've driven minivans for years: I've decided that when a cop sees a minivan, he just assumes that it's not speeding and doesn't bother to point the radar gun at it. :D

The stereo is the factory-original AM/FM radio. Not even a cassette deck (though one with a cassette is on the way - I just bought it off eBay for a penny!).

My van is red. I like to joke that it's "Ferarri Red". It's a minivan, so it's not exactly a compact car, but it's got the tightest turning circle of any vehicle I've driven except maybe an Elantra.

The main apparent accessory on my van is a big honkin' ham radio antenna on my roof. I've decided to embrace my inner geek. :D

About my first collision... fun story:

The first ticket I ever got was for failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. It was my own fault - I wasn't paying attention (I was kinda groggy because my sister, on my day off, had woken me up in a panic saying she was late for school and needed a ride) and just did a "rolling stop", not bothering to see that a cop was watching me from the other side of the intersection.

After that, I was extra-dilligent about coming to a full and complete stop. A few weeks after my ticket, while I was doing my new thing of stopping, waiting a second, and then going, a woman who was following me a bit too closely anticipated that I'd only do a rolling stop and bonked me from behind.

In general, what makes you drive different? How would you rate yourself as driver?
Better than average... though I think that's what just about everyone says.

What would annoy other drivers about your drivingstyle?
I've developed a tendency to flash my high beams at cars that won't get out of the left lane. I'm sure it drives them nuts, but if they don't know that they should move right, then IMO they deserve what they get.

*my current van is the third '96/'97 Chrysler minivan I've had in a row. I can quit any time; I just don't want to. :D

I have a 2001 Acura CL - type s coupe. It's a 5 speed transmission 3.2 liter V6 overhead cam, FWD. I put in a few mods and it's pushing around 280hp. It's got a lot of potential and can go over 300 with a bit more work but no time for that with school. :(

My top speed in my car was 145 MPH. It ran okay even at triple digits. I had to weigh it down in the trunk and other areas to make sure it would stay down ...

Been pulled over 6 times, but no tickets yet =P

Really, on a better note now that I am done stating that not all women are just interested in the jewlry that hangs from their rearview mirror. On a daily basis as a manager at a car dealership I drive whatever I want. Corvette, Impala, Caddy. Im contemplating what I will drive home right now???? Oh ya and I ride a 2001 yamaha virago. for all you guys who dont know what that is, its a motorcyle.

I have worked in car dealerships for 10 years and I have driven so many cars lamborghini, porsche, ferrari, volkswagons, hondas, doestics, from the newest to rare classics. Im a lucky girl.

I drive conservatively on the road, but when I hit the strip it's all horsepower. Fastest I have ever taken a vehicle, probubly 170mph. 9 seconds in a quarter. Not to impressive, but pretty good for a girl;)

I drive a 2004 Toyota Corolla with sun roof, power everything, front and side airbags, ABS, cruise, top-of-the-line stereo system, and spoiler. It's a chick car. But the choice was between this and a Camry with no features to compare, and this one gets better gas mileage. I have a hand-beaded "dingly-dangly" on my rearview mirror (I make them), but that is the only accoutrement. Otherwise, it's a bit of a mess. Top speed? Probably about 90. Now my 1996 Corolla, on the other hand... unfortunately, it is on its last legs with over 210,000 miles, but was the best car I've ever had. That one has been over 100 mph on more than one occasion. Remember when Montana didn't have a speed limit? I was blowing by prairie dogs at 90. It was great!

Neat. Cadillac and Impalas don't really show up on my personal car radar, but I'm sure the Corvette's fun to drive. As far as GM cars go, the more I learn about the new Camaro, the more I like it.

Edit: as for my addiction to questionable Chrysler vehicles, I'm getting a hankering for entering a K Car in the Chump Car World Series.
