You Better Believe Kamala Harris Is a “Real” American

I'm excerpting the article to make a point about who is a "real American". We are ALL decedents of immigrants even the Native Americans originally came from elsewhere. So to attack her or any citizen who believes in America as not being a "real American" is to attack me and my friends and neighbors. My neighbor on one side is Chinese and from India on the other side. There's a Hispanic family up the street, a cop living at the end of the cul-de-sac, and others including white Christians. I know blacks, a man from Iran and many more We are all "real" Americans.

You Better Believe Kamala Harris Is a “Real” American

Criticize Democrats all day long, but questioning whether Harris is a “real American” is an attack on America itself

I am white and married; a father and businessman; and a gun owner in my 50s. I love my country, my Constitution, my flag, my family, my Ford Mustang, and free markets. Anyone at a MAGA rally would assume that I am a “real” American.
And I am.
...
Who is calling Harris un-American? Donald Trump himself, of course, has questioned her racial legitimacy, as he did with President Barack Obama. And just this week, the National Review’s Rich Lowry wrote in The New York Times that Harris is “a phony” who “doesn’t care about the country” and will therefore lose the “character” debate against Trump.
...
For their part, Republicans must make Harris into the devil. As The Atlantic’s Tom Nichols explained, GOP elites “must now define Harris—and all Democrats—as evil beyond words. Otherwise, how would they explain the ghastly compromises they’ve made? … When other conservatives, such as noted retired federal judge J. Michael Luttig, are enthusiastically endorsing Harris, some pretty fancy dancing is required.”
...
That includes me. I am a real American. I was born here, a child of immigrants. To me, America is a place where Michelle, a Jew whose grandparents fled the pogroms, could marry Rolf, a war refugee from Germany whose aunts and uncles were Nazis. My mom and dad met in grad school at Cal, and I was born in Oakland—simple biological facts also true of the vice president. If Trump 2024 suggests that Harris is not American, they literally deny my American identity.

Seriously?? Harris lose the "character" debate against The Insurrectionist"?

Against an adulterous,
lecherous, pig-snot sucking, spoiled little whiny-***ed rich boy with a history of...oh, I don't know....TREASON?!!

That demented, micro-penis-wagging, anti-American, purulent turd
shouldn't be allowed to get on any stage with Harris, let alone debate her on the topic of "character", morals, ethics, honesty, or Honor.

Oh come on now, Trump is a much bigger character than Kamala is. :D

Do you honestly think such a crude, adolescent rant serves Kamala Harris?
Nope.
But as a real American man, I really don't care. As long as it doesn't hurt VP Harris’ chances, then I'm going to speak as I feel.

To help Ms. Harris, I've sent in donations, responded to flyers, and will be signing up with the local Dems (if they'll take an independent centrist like me).
What WILL hurt Ms. Harris and our nation, is for people to start considering tRump to be even remotely like a candidate. The press and our US citizenry have bent over backward to make ourselves believe that his treason, his dementia, and unhidden horrific greed for power and fame, are just part of the spectrum that is allowable for a candidate for POTUS.
And in doing so, we have already stained our nation's honor, without him even having to gain the Whitehouse.

PS - I covered the honesty in my earlier post with a {spoiler} marker, for the younger and more sensitive readers here.

That's great. I hope you get a warm welcome. We can debate policy later but right now job #1 is defeating Trump

It all depends on "your" definition of what "real American" means to you.
If you think all it means is that either your were born in the United States or became a citizens at a later date so be it.
However, I don't think "anyone" can define what a "real American" is to everyone.
To me, being a "real American" is something you feel in your gut if you are asked if that person is a "real American, not clearly defined attributes.

Yes, but that's just personal bias. It's certainly not something we should ever allow to be imposed on anyone else.

I believe that a "real American" would be someone who supports the values that are supposed to define America; freedom, democracy, rights, equality, justice, and secularism (as per the establishment clause of the 1st Amendment).

Why did you say “white Christians” ? Are you implying that White and Christian are synonymous or Christians are White? Just as there’s quite a variety of those who are Americans, there’s Chinese, Native American, Black, Hispanic, and many other non-Whites who are Christians.

There is a subset of American Christians who are ethnically white who seem to have a problem that Kamala Harris is not one of them and it is somehow relevant. Most apparent of them is a guy by the name of Donald who seems to think it is important how Ms Harris defines herself.
Her point is that no matter how she is just like the majority of us in that her origins are from elsewhere in the world, some seem to question if her origin is appropriate for leadership. Primarily it seems because her skin color is not that of some group of Europeans.

Why. You and others attempt to impose your beliefs on others don't you?
So by your reasoning here, then, if you can convince yourself that I am a thief, then this would somehow justify, in your mind, you being a thief, too?

You said, “ Most apparent of them is a guy by the name of Donald”.
So are you saying you think Donald T. Is a Christian?
