I didn't have any relatives in it. My grandparents and great aunts and uncles lived through it, but non fought in it.

My father served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. My uncles served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

I have German ancestry on my mother's side, so some of my distant relatives potentially served in the German military, though I have no specific knowledge of that.

My grandfather served in WW2 as a medic for the US. I don't know much about his service beyond that.
