I can’t keep the same avatar more than a week or two max, get tired of them. Some of you keep yours for literal decades. I don’t know how you do it.

So, I wondered about some of your avatars. Give a lil explanation of how and why you chose yours for the thread ^.^
I usually keep the same Avatar until I get another cat. Atticus is the last cat I got last fall so unless I lose another cat :( and get another cat he will probably stay put. Isn't he gorgeous? He is even prettier in person, and the sweetest cat ever.... and the soft meow, well worth the 600 bucks I paid for him.

Which way to the woods?

I live for the woods. I love the forests. So I chose a picture I took while in Gunnison National Forest for my avatar. But all and any woods are perfect.

If some of you have seen me with a wolverine avatar before, it's something if I remember right, @Revoltingest brought up about me possibly being a wolverine, so I have sometimes sported that avatar and role-played it. I feel like there's an unsaid game some of us play where Revoltingest is Groundskeeper Willie from the Simpson's, and the people with animal avatars kind of face off against him.
Especially wolves.

Groundskeeper Willie is the greatest.
The Van Gogh version makes me look
sophisticated, urbane, & intelligent,
yet with a hint of mischief.

I had a cat once. He lived a very long time with me in the woods. We would go at walks at night under the full moon. He always led of course. He was a great cat.
A cat? I have not had one cat since I got my first cat in 1984 and I have have had many more since. We are now down to the lowest number of cats we have had in 20 years, as we only have seven cats now. :(
I am learning to adjust because I realized it is for the best that we don't have as many as we did before.
Our cats never went on walks but we used to take them to the Oregon Coast when we went on vacation.
