Your beverage of choice

What is your beverage of choice? For a long time for me it has been soft drinks, aka soda, more specifically Pepsi-Cola. However, now that I'm living further out from places than I used to, I do less trips for things I run out of, like soda. I noticed that I had three concentrated flavor-enhancers in my cabinet while I was moving so I'm been using those. I have to admit, I think I've changed my mind about this.

There's various reasons why flavor-enhanced water is better than soda.
  1. It tastes better
  2. There's more variety of flavors
  3. It's cheaper
  4. It doesn't upset my stomach
  5. Easier to carry
  6. Cheaper Store brand is just as good
  7. Healthier
  8. It doesn't make you more thirsty
  9. It can't go flat
  10. I can control the intensity
I don't think I could quit soda altogether. I will still drink it if I'm in a fast-food restaurant. However, I think my all-around preferred choice and what I'm going to buy regularly for consumption is flavored water.

I have to admit though if it were a more widespread thing, I'd totally drink non-alcoholic ginger beer more often. I love that stuff. It can be over a dollar per 12 ounce can though. Ridiculous!

You forgot cheaper :p

Ehhm... my choice is water, but for pleasure and taste, even tho water works with me here sometimes, my choice is fresh juice. It was Mirinda Citrus and before that Mountain Dew for some time.

Speaking of water, we have an additive/flavor here called Kewra water. It is extracted from a flower well known in the Middle East. If added to fresh well mineral balanced water, it give a special taste. This extract is also used to season rice here.

Fixed.

Of course. You live in Saudi Arabia!

Mountain Dew is never the choice of drink for me. I don't drink it often and when I do, I'm usually disappointed.

Never heard of Kewra Water. Must look into it.

As I got older I thought it was just natural to quit soda. Went from drinking it everyday to only on the holidays or summer parties

Brandy and lemonade.
But since I can't be drinking all the time, Dr Pepper. I have a very odd hate love relationship with the Doctor. I just randomly developed the taste for it after hating it. Weird.

I like good beer and mead better than most drinks but spring water, homemade juice/smoothies, or some type of energy drink is what I have throughout the day.

Plain water.
Darjeeling/Oolong Gopal Dhara tea. It seems that the right flavour can be attained only by grace of God. But when the right flavour is attained, it is ambrosial.
Fresh lemon juice.
