Your bumper stickers:

If you have any bumper stickers, especially ones that pertain to religion, what are they?

I have 3 bumper stickers:

1. My avatar, a "coexist" type that says "fiction" with religious symbols instead.

2. "God is intelligent and loves you but he thinks you deserve to burn in hell forever for not believing the right unknowable idea. Yeah, that makes sense..."

3. "SPEED UP OR MOVE OVER!" in mirrored text on the front left of my car, so people that don't understand how to get out of the fast lane, and prevent traffic congestion and accidents, can have a clue as to what they are supposed to be doing.

Smoke

Done here.
I have a sticker that says

United States Marines
When you care enough to send the very best

However, it came with the truck. I don't have any of my own.

I've been thinking about a "Good Without God" bumper sticker, though "In case of rapture, can I have your car?" has a certain appeal.

Oh I like it, very good! :D

There are firms in the US offering to look after pets when their owners are 'raptured'. Quite a lot of people are gullible enough to avail themselves of the service and it is good business! YE GODS how can people be so very stupid?

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I only have one bumper sticker. It looks like this flag, except it's a sticker. I have the flag hanging at my house.

I have a Jesus fish, a "Don't tread on me" patriotic sticker, and an american flag. You can tell I love freedom and what is good and right.

Revoltingest, I like that one. I may have to get me one of those.

But I do hate to junk up the Lexus.

Seeing how I see the erosion of church-state separation as a significant threat to freedom, I personally find that combination of stickers rather ironic.

The trick is to limit oneself to a single bumper sticker. More than that is gauche...unless you drive a VW bus.
I actually have two... both for motorsport clubs I'm involved with. One I just put on to show my support, while the other helps at the track: if the track owner's staff doesn't like where you've left your car, they'll normally tow it ... unless they see a marshalling club sticker, in which case they merely send out word through race control for you to move your car NOW. :D

I VOTE LIBERTARIAN
ASK ME WHY. Someone once actually asked my why.

I'd ask you why. I consider myself a Libertarian, but if they can't realistically get into office, why not make sure the lesser of two evils wins? Unless, of course, you think they're tied.

I can't remember the last time I voted FOR a candidate. ALL of my voting that I can remember has been cast AGAINST the candidates and proposals I felt were most harmful.

I've never voted Libertarian, but I have voted for candidates that had no hope of being elected before. I had a few reasons:

- often, my riding has been a "lock" for one specific candidate and party. Even if all the swing votes in the riding decide to vote for his next closest opponent, he'll still get in by a wide margin. When the result is a foregone conclusion, why not just forget all the "strategic voting" stuff and vote for the party that's most closely aligned with your views?

- voting can be used to express concern about a specific issue or platform. Even if your vote doesn't directly result in someone getting elected, it will still be reflected in the results and (hopefully) send a message to the winning candidate about what his or her electorate considers important.

- a party can't jump straight from fledgling or fringe status straight to being the overall winner. If you want your party of choice to be a contender someday, this means that it'll have to build up a support base even before it's not capable of winning outright.

- at least here in Canada, a party receives funding from the government based on the total number of votes it received in the previous election. If my vote has no other effect, it directs a few dollars toward my party of choice that would've otherwise gone to some other party.

Been there & done that. I felt too unclean after voting for that which is still evil.
