Your suggestions for relocation places for Americans post election

I
That would be the end of the USA as we know it. My wife came to this country legally and has been a citizen for a good while. The current situation is just nuts.
I arrived legally, and after some years, departed the same way

I think legal immigrants tend to oppose this deranged open border policy.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
He declared he was going to deport the 20,000 Springfield, Ohio immigrants.
You know, the ones who are in Ohio legally...
It's called temporary status. It's not permanent in the first place.

It also depends on if anybody there is creating trouble or not for the community and even if the community wanted them or if it was forced upon them by the local government.

Legal immigrants certainly do. They don't want their jobs taken , and being overrun no more than anybody else does.

It was on fire when I laid down on it.

I would say that vehicular homicide is "creating trouble."

And there are about 89,000 illegal immigrants in Ohio alone. And about 74 percent of those are between the ages of 15 and 44. Many of the new residents of Springfield, Ohio are here on Temporary Protected Status, which means tney can legally work and live here for 6 to 18 months. Under Humanitarian Parole, they can legally work and live here for up to two years but they have to have a sponsor. The Haitians can apply for Temporary Protected Status whether they have entered the US legally or illegally. Then they have to apply for asylum, get married, or go thru the employment process, to be here legally. If their status expires or is terminated, they revert back to the state they were in when they came to the US.

Welcome to all Trump opposers wishing to become Australian in my view, but do mind the snakes and spiders as some of them are rather deadly. Also if you relocate to the tropics be wary of crocodiles and jellyfish

Why is it that US citizens always think of Antarctica and Africa as countries?
I don't know that US citizens always think of Antarctica and Africa as countries, or what this has to do with this thread.

If you're referring to US Southerners, then maybe it would explain why there's a genre of music from the US South called "country music" even though the US South isn't a country.

Don't they teach geography there?

In the US South? I'm not sure.

The population of China is almost 1.5 billion.

The area of China is just over 100 billion square feet.

If you give each person in China 2 square feet to stand on, then that takes up only about 3% of China; this means that 97% of China is not covered by people.

It seems to me that there's plenty of space in China. :smirk:

The US has roughly 100 trillion square feet and roughly 333 million people. If you give each person 2 square feet to stand on, then that takes up only about 0.00066% of the US. Guess who is more justified to say they are "full"?

I got the area of China wrong; I trusted Google's AI to do the calculation for me & it gave an incorrect answer (it was off by 3 decimal places).

To verify the correct answer, I calculated it myself & the area of China is about 103.3 trillion square feet, which means that if you give each person in China 2 square feet to stand on, then that takes up only about 0.003% of China; this means that 99.997% of China is not covered by people.

Guess who is more justified to say they are "full"?
Neither - with numbers that tiny and insignificant, they're both nearly empty (in terms of 2 square feet per person).

China is still 5 times more densely populated than the US - while having more inhabitable land, like the Gobi Desert.
And China has nothing on most European countries.
If you insist on your ridiculous measure of area to stand on, US citizens have absolutely no reason to fear immigration.
The Netherlands are 50 times more populated than the US - and they still take in refugees.

Dude, you're snapping at the wrong forum member. I'm not the forum member who started this argument on population density; I'm responding to it.

I'm not "snapping" at you, I just used the topic to show how being anti-immigration, based on mere space, is ridiculous for the US (and China, just to be fair to @Audie).

My involvement in this thread is simply for the purpose of showing that I'm not anti-emigration.
