It should never be important enough to cause the sort of debacle we see in the Middle East. At some point, common sense should kick in. It's ludicrous that we continue to torture ourselves and each other over words from books written down long before any of us were born that the author claimed to be from some "god".

And believing that religion is important shouldn't mean that you support people fighting over it. Unless you think the two go hand and hand?

America has never killed anybody(who did not deserve it). America is entirely just and makes no errors.

I agree with this but Zionism was form to counter these issues as well. Religious fundamentalism create counter religious fundamentalism.

The Ummah being the primary instigator of violence in the middle east I thought this would have been relevant

Well, I'm not. The oppression of the Palestinians is well known, as well as their violation of international law. Israel is criminal and racist.

Oh, please. You can't blame Muslims for Zionism. The ideology of Zionism has nothing to do with Islam. The Muslims are not more violent than anyone else. I mean, you have the US/UK and their allies bombing them into oblivion and Israel attacking its neighbors. So it seems that there's quite enough violence to go around for everyone.
