At least 3 law enforcement officers killed in shooting in Charlotte, North Carolina
A U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force was attempting to serve a warrant in Charlotte when the shooting started, the police said.

They were serving a warrant on a felon in possession of a firearm. They found him in the front yard of a home when he started shooting. Officers fired back and killed him, but then, someone from inside the home shot at the officers, killing three US Marshals, wounding another, along with four other local police officers. Inside the house, they found a woman and a 17-year-old male and took them to police headquarters as persons of interest. They haven't released any names or very much detail about the case.
