No, what's new is differentiating between gender and sex and more openness in varied expressions of these.

Hoping to get everyone one the same page, the conspiracy if true is that marxism is an ideal which has taken root in universities and then grown wings into a conspiracy. The conspiracy is stated clearly by Dr. James Lindsay who says that there is a movement to overturn the way western civilization functions.

This is the complaint and the fear that most people are unable to articulate but which echoes in the conservative and in the right wing areas of media, bolstered by various real events such as clearly racist DEI hiring practices and the apparent disregard for feminists once they were no longer of use to the marxist movement. Lindsay claims that to achieve marxist aims that change itself must be continually fought for and all norms destroyed, and so while transexual rights are claimed to be the battleground it is actually just another temporary scaffold to be torn down later and transexuals trodden underfoot just as women before them.

Now really this has to be discussed in a separate thread; but that is the issue as conservatives declare it in media...all over. Its all over the media.

I cannot. But it would be helpful if you read my post more carefully.

The reason I am giving is because "man/woman" is a social construct that is useful separate from the biological "male/female" (which is also a messy, complicated thing when viewed as a dichotomy).

Given that there are many people whose bodies have female anatomy but socially are more on the "man" side of the spectrum, very likely there are men (men) who have been pregnant.

I understand that this new thing of separating gender from sex can be difficult to grasp or accept by some people but it is likely going to stick as it is very useful and more descriptive of reality.

A man can act like a woman "socially", but that doesn't mean he can become pregnant, unless he's socially pregnant.
And yes, I'm a Republican, but I'm only posting like a democrat. Doesn't make me one in fact though.

It reminds me of all those far right republicans who attacked gays, and then turned out being gay themselves. Could it be that those conservatives attacking trans people are telling us something about themselves?

We have no problem with their personal perspective. Just as long as they don't expect laws to be passed that tell everyone else to embrace that perspective as being biological fact, because it is not.
Just like when gays used to claim that all they wanted was the right to do what they wanted in the privacy of their bedroom. Now they want to do those things in public buildings and on the streets in front of our children, and for children to be taught about it in school through pornographic material that belongs in the Adult section of a bookstore--or better yet, in the garbage.

I believe you are correct, and I agree with you based on my forty-plus years of personal interactions with them and witnessing how they treat others. I've seen just how indifferent they are to the feelings of people they dislike, such as minorities and strong women (who aren't submissive to their husband or to other men), or those they absolutely despise, such as Democrats/Liberals, LGBTQ+, and immigrants (documented or undocumented). I'm not saying all of this to be cruel and mean-spirited. I'm very serious about it. FYI, I discussed some of my personal interactions with them in this thread earlier this week.

A person with female reproductive parts can socially be a man, but still biologically get pregnant. It has happened.
