Nehustan Well-Known Member Jun 12, 2006 #3 I suppose as I see it as a philosophy more than religion, but certainly a way of interpreting the religion. I'd say that Sufism is both Islamic philosophy and mysticism that should sit next to the orthodox (sunnah) Islam, not replace it.
