Ask About Islam

There are records of such an event happening before.
I meant independent, corroborative records. Not the original story. You can't use the existence of other miracle stories in the Bible as evidence for the truth of miracle stories in the Bible. That is circular logic 101.

Moses dividing the Sea, and Jesus picking the Corn, means exactly the same thing as splitting the moon.

Level1 - Level2 - Level3
Moon - Star - Sun
Sea - River - Stream
Corn - Oil - Wine

Mohamad's moon is not NASAs moon.
I have no idea what your argument is here.

Well if you are going to assert that simply having a claim written in a book, is a record of something, then we have a record of Frodo travelling to Mordor and destroying the one ring. Do you believe that really happened? There were witnesses after all, as Frodo had several companions "in the book".

What I said was actually a Google search, you want to attack Google for not knowing their stuff? Huh?
If you Google "straw man", none of the results correspond to your given explanation.
Therefore the reasonable conclusion would be that either you mistakenly Googled something other than "straw man", or you are not being honest about Googling it.

However, I could be wrong. You can resolve this by posting the result you used as a source.

What "sin factor"?
There is no sin in eating pork if you don't follow a religion that proscribes it.
There is no sin in adultery or prostitution if you don't follow a religion that "proscribes it", either.
However, as far as @Link is concerned, they are all transgressions of "the law" .. sins.

Here, I've made a video on what I believe is the strongest argument for God in terms of convincing power:.

That provides no evidence for God whatsoever. First there already are over 1 billion Christians and 1 billion Hindu who in your mind worship the wrong God. Over 1 billion Hindus worship a false God. Yet they have a functioning society, have a moral system, virtues. Humans create our standards for what is good and bad, it's part of the evolutionary process. Animals also have this sense or they would not be able to function as successful groups. Another problem is different cultures have vastly different concepts on what is good and bad. Even religions have denominations that vastly disagree, Including Islam. Radical Islam completely disagree on what God wants and how to judge and act upon that judgement. Clear evidence that humans make all this up.
Islamic groups follow a religious book and secular communities also create laws and morals and follow them.
Beyond this world there is no need for judgement. We do not have souls. That is an ancient way of looking at reality that does not have actual evidence.

You already believe in a God so you superimpose the idea that we need a supreme judge. Your argument for God is no better than "look at the trees" there must be God.....

Now you say you have absolute proof for God, and it happens to be the God in your religion. Then people in every single other religion say no your religion is wrong and it's their God. Or it's your religion but you don't agree with the interpretation? That is far from "absolute" anything. Religious people say they have an absolute judge then cherry-pick laws according to what they think should be used or ignored? Again, this shows we make it up in our mind, the Gods, the rules, standards.

So you're simply trolling then, now that is a violation of forum guidelines. Also why would you want to, hat do you imagine that says to people about your beliefs, that the best response you have is to troll those who offer critical scrutiny of your claims?
No I am not trolling, only answering back with same noncensical replies you guys give.

Honestly I dont take you serious in discussion

The Bible is a collection of "independent" scrolls, so your argument is somewhat flawed. :)

You misunderstand.
Link claimed that non-Muslims find pork so delicious because it is a sin to eat it.
But obviously it is not a sin to non-Muslims, so the argument was incoherent.

Looking within has to be the start. Why do you believe it's possible you are generated by flesh and that your deeds are all accounted to by your brain and that your value is generated by the brain, as oppose to a metaphysical type existence and spiritual system that generates your value and holds you accountable to your deeds? To me, the brain can't generate me. It's like a phone with internet the body is. The internet is bigger and beyond the individual computer/phone. We are beyond the body, the body is just an interaction tool with the world, part of the program of God and abstraction to test us. Our truest form exists in God's vision and perfect judgment. We are value which is subjectively judged per capacity of the judges. The only accurate value is in God's vision, and if he doesn't exist, it's chaotic winds with no reality and we would be a total illusion.

We can demonstrate that code is captured as information and goes out as signals through fiber. The internet IS like a brain. But if you damage enough servers the internet will malfunction. If you destroyed all the servers the information would be gone. There is no magic soul of the internet that when the planet dies will ascend into an afterlife.
When the brain is damaged the personality changes. Some brain damaged people have multiple personalities. Some turn atheist. Nothing about this suggests a soul. Only a physical mind.
We need evidence for a God and evidence for a soul before it's justified to believe.
Your obsession with being judged is a personal issue, this has nothing to do with reality. This need for a cosmic judge is something you developed but this does not mean there actually are cosmic judges. YOu may be reading too much fiction that talks about being judged and you are obsessed by it?
The internet is not being judged? The OT God is certainly not a perfect judge?

That is an illogical comparison.

To say that a book in which a vast number of people accept as based on actual history is no different to a book which is known by everyone to be fantasy is an insult to our intelligence.

i.e. it is one of your loved fallacies

It's not incoherent to me.
You claim that "greed" is abstract, so it's no surprise to me that you have no idea what @Link was getting at.

That's how they know so much about fallacies..
Do you think doctors only know a lot about diseases because they have contracted them all?

That's the only tactics they've got. They have no "meat" to discuss.
I'm still waiting for you to present your evidence for the magical abilities of Jesus and Muhammad. You have repeatedly claimed to have such evidence, but every time I ask you to present it, you refuse.
Show me the meat!

They believe in "not believing". :)
More irony.
I do not believe because there appears to be no evidence or rational argument to support the extraordinary claims made.
It is the religionist who "believes in believing". Some even admit that belief is necessary for belief, and evidence is unnecessary.

As a Muslim lady would you say you are equal to men?.

No women on this earth is equal to a man. They are created differently. I would say that things are equitable. Each have their own things to do. When they both commit a major sin, they both get punished the same. Men are, in Islam, supposed to take care of the women. They have their responsibilities like work, bring home the money, provide for the family etc. So this is what it is meant by a degree over women. In saying that, if a Muslim women is to work, her money is her money. She does not have to give him anything. It's HER money. :) For thinking, women and men are both intelligent. Islam does not discriminate against a women's education. Actually, women are advised to gain knowledge. They are allowed many things in Islam that were there way before the west had it...like voting, women's rights, work etc. They were all there over 1400 years ago whereas the west had to fight for their rights.

Women have their roles and men have their roles. In Islam, the most important thing is to worship Allah. If you follow this, inshallah (God willing) you will have a good marriage.
