    Ssainhu how do you call it intolerance when some Muslims do wish to impose Shar'ia on the whole world and would strive to do it if it's what the majority of the ummah wanted? I realize there are good and bad Muslims, but at the end of the day, there are far more bad ones, depending how you see bad. The majority of Muslims would impose Shar'ia on the world in a heartbeat, and you know they would.

    Similar to yours....the Eid prayers...then in the evening, we go to my grandmother's house where all my relatives gather...and of course I am going to wear my new clothes :D LOL!!

    Hey don't give me all the credit sister, I <3 your posts and outlook too! You're a great gal and teach me a lot about Islam that I never knew, I appreciate it. I have to say that I don't like stereotypes and unfortunately because of some American stereotypes I wasn't sure what to expect when talking to Muslims (not that I think of you as just a Muslim of course, but a friend in general ^.^). It's telling that of all the Muslims I've talked to here I like every single one of them a lot.

    Thats why they were the best generation, thats why Allah was satisfied with them. There was no: let me think about it and Ill give you my answer later. No, it was submission immediatly , and whoever is humble with ALlah, Allah give him Izza i.e pride and victory. And thats what we miss in our generations and thats our Ummah is in its worse conditions right now.

    Do never forget to pray that Allah show you and all other people the right path and guide us all to follow it.

    Explaining why we do such and such thing is something specific to non-muslims , wisdoms behind some ruling. Howerver, as Muslims and submitters; as long as we hear Allah said or the prophet peace be upon him said we immediately practice without questioning. Thats what submission is about.

    Theres a hadeeth where a man was wearing a golden ring, the prophet peace be upon him came to him and said : How one can wear a part of fire on his finger ? So he pbuh took it and throw it. When the man was leaving his companions told him to take the ring and sell it to benefit from it, you know what he said? He said: I would never take something the prophet pbuh threw away!
