Yes!! Do as much recording as you can. You can always go back and edit and redo, but that way you have something saved. It seems to me it would be similar to writing sometimes... In For Whom the Bell Tolls, Hemmingway rewrote a single page of that book around a 100 times until he was happy with it. Save EVERYTHING, cause you never know what you may polish it into later, even if you think it's not good now.
I really like your free form music you said you based around a sigil. Very lovely in a dark sort of way. -
