The architecture is amazing. I can't imagine such a beautiful landscape; a lot of the cities I have been to have been more reflective of an cost:benefit ration.. i.e. basically squares. Even cities like New Orleans which has a lot of French undertones can not even compared to such a beautiful building being planted in a metropolis.
What a beautiful way of stating it! I think also, leaders manipulate our egos, but they so very seldom get us to go beyond our egos. Artists, poets, musicians, scientists -- sometimes they bring us messages from beyond our own petty egos.

When I was younger, my heroes were politicians and generals. But politicians and generals do not create beauty. They add so little to this life. Now that I am older, my heroes -- such as I have any -- are artists, musicians, poets, scientists.
I agree. Draftmanship has it's uses. It is also a genuine talent in it's own right. But, like you, I prefer to see how someone interprets something "through their own mind".
