  • I don't want to be the bearer of sad news, but the truth is: You're not in Bad Chat right now. And that's sad.
I was wondering something, because you state you are advocating letting go of theism and that religion doesn't equate a belief in god(s). Thus this made me think, what do you think of say, a Christian atheist? Or replace the word Christian with any other religion which tends to be theistic... Do you consider that an improvement?

I very much do. Although, of course, many religions don't require such belief in God to begin with and probably are that much better for it.

For good or worse, Christianity, Islam and the Bahai Faith demand themselves to be theistic. Their loss.
Hey, Luis, Peace and Blessings! I wanted to talk to you: I had asked you a question about what Hinduism teach me as a Bahá’í about embracing religious diversity, but you never addressed it. Now, I want to know.

Dude, the Bahá’í Faith is an Abrahamic religion, so of course, monotheism is going to be its starting point by default.

The Covenant is very important, but that's to maintain the integrity of the Faith, and it's sensible.

Other times, though, a divergence causes an unnecessary and very preventable discord.

There is certainly no contradiction in what you say, nor do I have any doubt on your accuracy or sincerity.

I just find those unfortunate choices for a religion with such an ambitious scope as the Bahai Faith. In all honesty, we all would be better off without them.

That's why every religion is different, different conceptions of the Divine to begin with, different temperaments for each individual....the Bahá’í Faith doesn't work for you, and that's cool! It does for me, Luis.....
