  • Ah yes, I know this; Snatam Kaur is one of the most loved Sikh artists about. :)
The song is the Mūl Mantar, or "Root Mantra". It's basically the Sikh philosophy in a nutshell; the Gurū Granth Sāhib actually opens with this on p1, and a shorter, simplified version is throughout the whole book. :)
We'll see, lol. Last time there was a big ruckus caused by my sister, and my mum tells my sister every single little thing, so we're not sure yet. Stacey says she doesn't want to tell her until she's about 4 or 5 months pregnant, so until it's past the danger zone and it's hard to hide it.

Looks like my dad already knows. If there's an advocate for psychics, it's my dad: he seems to know everything. I swear he's bugged our house. :D And lol! Thanks, but I don't consider myself to be too intelligent, or at the most, an underachiever. :D

Shame you didn't recognise anyone, but then again, it's to be expected I guess if it's been a while. Have you made any acquaintances there yet, or haven't you been enough times? Speaking of which, I need to go to mandir sometime. It's been ages since I went. I usually avoid going when I could because I wear fake leather and they may think I'm wearing leather, and I don't know how they would react.. :D
    Hi!
Congratulations on finding the job. Did you see anyone at the temple whom you remember? Glad you're not regretting moving. I hope it stays that way. :)

Doing well, thanks. Nothing amazingly new yet. Stacey is pregnant -- again. Whee, I need to get fixed. :D Still in the early stages though so don't want to jinx anything, and nobody knows, anyway. After the kerfuffle we had with my sister when she believed Stacey was pregnant before (even though she wasn't), we're not saying a damn thing. :D

Break wasn't too productive really: spent most of it reading lots of different books, though: some were religious books, others on web design and so on.

Spent my bday buying shirts, eating junk food, had a take-out and watched some films. The day before, I went to my sister's barbecue against my wishes. My mother decided I was going no matter what. I was about a suggestion away from shouting "For Odin!!!", grabbing all the food, and kicking the table over. :D
All finished! And I did really well on all my exams. I was pleasantly surprised. It was really good for me to have a hard semester like that. How are you and what are you up to?
I know! Sorry. :( I just finished the hardest semester of my life! Hopefully I can spend more time here this summer. :) I am loving life. I am learning so much! Life is such an incredible learning experience. And people are fantastic. I am truly one blessed guy.
Sweet! I'll have to watch the video later this week. I've got a ton of studying for final exams to do...I should be studying for my statistics test tomorrow morning right now, but instead I'm procrastinating on religious forum. :D
Your pictures have inspired me to read up on Matsya/the Hindu flood and Hinduism in general. :) My knowledge of Hinduism is very basic and introductory level...what I know mostly comes from the world religions course I took a long time ago. I'll have to see if I can find a good book on the subject for the summer. I'm going to need something to occupy my mind this summer since this is the last week of class. :)
