  • Becky and her significant other, Don, are my best friends in town. It's a small cottage. Two rooms, basically. A large, multipurpose room and a bedroom. It's got lots of windows and lots of light.

Are you up for a chat?
Becky is a sort of 5 foot 2 inch tall force of nature. About 18 years ago, when I was new to Colorado, she decided that I needed a sister. That settled it, so far as she was concerned, and she has treated my like I was her brother ever since. I used to nanny her kids for her when they were growing up.

I have a lovely yellow cottage. It overlooks a large grassy yard that is filled with trees and squirrels. There are three other nearby cottages and some old victorians too. Well off the street, and very quiet.

I haven't been in chat much either.
I'm doing fine! Becky came today and cleaned the cottage, so everything is sparkly now. How are you doing?
If Santorum were to win, it would make Bush look like a good president. We might end up at war with Iran, if not half the Middle East. Domestically, he might let the economy rot while he went on crusades against abortion, gays, and contraception. But no one could accuse us of not giving jobs to our village idiots.
I don't think Santorum has much chance of beating out Romney for the nomination, but I've been wrong before.

I've mostly been focused on getting my blog going. Work right now is pretty light. I went to see "Tailor, Tinker, Soldier, Spy" today. I'd think you'd like that movie. It was very well done, and I thought it did the book justice.
Thank you so much! I was under the impression that post fell flat because it wasn't hard hitting enough. I feel sorry you had to suffer with him as your senator. In a better age, people like him would be more widely understood as the dangerous nut cases they are.

    So how have you been?
Nutrition? That's quite an important subject. Especially as you grow older. I'm horrible at it, though -- which is why I'm grateful for multi-vitamins.

I moved the blog in part to avoid paying annual fees for having it. Blogger, my current platform, does not charge to allow me to mess around with the blog's code. But wordpress, my former platform, did.
Hi! What have you been up to? Lately, I've been using all the time I can come up with to build up my new blog.
I'm glad you're satisfied with your work situation. It sounds about as good as it gets. That's so important given how much of our lives we typically spend working. Someone once told me find a job you like because you will spend about a third of your life doing it.
So they've got you traveling, eh? Next thing, you'll get a promotion to management! At least, I hope so.

I haven't done enough with the blog recently. But I've got some ideas for a few half-decent posts, I think. If only I will get off my lazy butt and write them.
I've been busy with family things -- for instance, I traveled to see my mother over Thanksgiving. Had a pretty good time, too. Is all going well with you?
Thanks! I'm having a hard time coming up with ideas --- I think that's because I gave up coffee.
