Lol, I can totally understand what you mean there. I've always seen parallels between the message of Jesus and of Buddha, and I think that following Jesus' message in a Buddhist context makes a lot of sense. I feel a lot of parallels between him and the messages of the East, both Hinduism and Buddhism.
I find it fascinating you volunteer. How long have you been volunteering, and how did you get into it, if you don't mind me asking?
I find Sufi and Kabbala to be interesting, but I've not really done too much research into them. Like much of the Abrahamic theologies, for some reason it just doesn't really click with me. I know, I'm strange.
I'm not sure why I find Christian mysticism so fascinating though, maybe it's because of the archetypes? I enjoy the way Dante's Divine Comedy and others have got that primitive yet mystical world view, it's fascinating. I suppose because I was raised in a country where Christianity is the dominant religion, that rubbed off on me?
